3. Course description:
- The course introduces the knowledge of information system design and
analysis as well as equips students with the necessary skills to be able to
participate in the information systems development projects. The main contents of
the subject include:
- - Objectives and methods of survey and requirements collection.
- - Methods and tools used in system analysis and modeling are based on 4.0
technology.
- - Structured data modeling and processing techniques.
- - Object-oriented analysis and design systems using UML (Unified
Modeling Language)
- - Techniques and tools used in database design, system interface design.

4. Course objective

4.1 Overal objective:


Provide students the overal knowledge of the process of analyzing and designing
management information system, the knowledge and skills for business analyst
when joining to develop a system, apply the method and technique tool in
analyzing and designing management information system.

4.2 Detailed objective:
After finish the course, students have the ability to:
G1 Have the insight into the basic knowledge of information system, business
processes in organization; the role and skills of business analyst; methodology of
analyzing and designing management information system and the phases of each
methodology and the methods of site survey, modeling, analysis and design.
G2. Apply the tools in site survey, define requirement, modeling requirements and
analyze, design input, output data and user interface.
G3. Have the ability to be proficiency in 1 software (CASE tool) to model,
analyze and design management information system.
G4. Improve skill of team work and communication via documents, negotiation,
and compromise and conflict resolution.
G5. Have the ability to make the plan, do site survey, modeling, analyze and
design in a real management information system project.
