 Now that we know what it entails to be a media manager. Is there a need for a hotel to have a
manager in media and information? Why or why not?

A media manager has to be responsible for the dissemination of information to various


media channels in order to help boost the business. Especially with today’s generation, wherein
technology has greatly contributed to the improvement of communication to larger demographics
at such a high speed, there has been a growing need for companies to properly utilize technology
in order to reach out to more potential customers. Establishments such as hotels are not an
exemption from this. This is because hotels, being in the hospitality industry, cater to a diverse
market, which calls for a need to put out readily accessible information about their products,
services, and other details that customers may need. By effectively managing information, it can
assist organizations in achieve their objectives. Additionally, it aids in preventing security lapses
and data loss, which could result in monetary loss or other negative effects. If that happens, they
will go through the steps of gathering, compiling, organizing, and using information. The
effective management of knowledge and information may be one of the most critical components
of an organization's success in today's fiercely competitive corporate world.
