Rohan Desai (Host) Rohan Desai is a college drop out who is now a writer and a Stand-up comic. He won
the Melbourne international comedy festival RAW open mic in 2014 and was invited
back to perform in 2015.
Vaibhav Sethia Vaibhav has performed at all the popular comedy haunts, like the Canvas Laugh Club,
and has won popular contests like the Pajama Fest Open-Mic in 2014. In May 2018,
Vaibhav was featured on Amazon.
Sumaira Shaikh Sumaira Shaikh is a Dongri-bred psychology graduate who gave up being a counsellor
and decided to focus all her energies on Stand-up comedy and content creation. She
has worked with AIB, Son of Abish, Pushpavalli and Beauty and the Feast.
Aishwarya Mohanraj Aishwarya Mohanraj is a Stand-up comedian and writer. Aishwarya was one of the top
10 contestants in Comicstaan and since then has written for shows like Son of Abish,
Behti Naak and On Air with AIB. Also, she can recite the alphabet backwards.
Sumit Sourav Sumit Sourav aka ‘Comedy ka Noor from Jamshedpur’ has performed and proved his
excellence in all the four comedy-friendly cities Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore.
His unusual take on usual things of daily life leaves the audience in splits.
Naveen Richard One of India’s most versatile comedians, Naveen recently showcased his comic
dexterity with his hour-long comedy special, Don’t Make That Face, on Amazon Prime.
A member of comedy collective Them Boxer Shorts, they created the acclaimed web
series Better Life Foundation.
Gursimran Khamba Gursimran Khamba is a writer, stand-up comic, podcaster, script consultant, creative
director, producer, commentator and co-founder of India’s biggest comedy collective
All India Bakchod. Gursimran Khamba’s latest venture is called Light@27, a comedy
consulting firm that provides multiple services in the live and digital content space.

Autobiography Kishore (Mumbai).
Lovely Villa is the name of the apartment building where the filmmaker grew up in as
he studied to become an architect. Located in Mumbai’s LIC Colony and designed
by Charles Correa, it represents an imagination of the ideal community for a modern
India. The film explores the architecture of the colony through a personal narrative.
Using found materials like old photographs and drawings, and stories that range from

film highlights some of the specific architectural gestures of the project. It is a film
about the relationship between architecture, everyday life, family, coming of age and

Dilemmas and 7:30 pm - Conservation expert and academic Jigna Desai (CEPT University, Ahmedabad)
Directions: 8:15 pm will present from her recent book Equity in Heritage Conservation: the case of
Heritage Ahmedabad, India (Routledge. 2019) discussing a practice that has been influential
Conservation and has emerged as a vital urban phenomenon in the last few decades. In the book,
in India through three case studies of recent changes one examines processes of identifying
heritage of ‘outstanding universal value’. How does the process negotiate day to day
relationships of the inhabitants? Whose history gets valorised? What heritage gets
conserved? Who are the typical agents of change? And what would be a process that
would enable a more equitable understanding of heritage values?

have invested lifelong work in understanding the city and negotiating its changing
landscape of architecture and experiences will discuss their relationship with the
city, its ideas and people, and how the city — in more ways than one — silently
or otherwise, penetrated all their work and ideas of what it means to be an artist or
architect in India today.
