Assistance of Brother and Sister

1. DEAR (Drop Everything and Read)


Allow pupils to stop everything they do and get reading materials like books comics and
magazines.
2. Sustained Silent and Oral Reading
This is daily practice on reading activity. Record/Video while reading.
3. Reading Coaches
The objective of this intervention is to produce a best reader. It motivates every child to
read any reading material. At first the reading coach will read aloud for 3-5 minutes
followed by another reader. If the reader commits mistakes, the coach will gave him/her a
chance to correct his mistakes and ask him to read again the mistaken words.
4. Big Brother/Sister or Little Teacher
The objective of this intervention is to motivate slow/poor reader by their peers who will
like their teachers during reading sessions. The facilitator will choose the best reader that will
help other pupils in reading.
5. A Word A Day
A word, transcription, meaning, sentence usage.

 The teacher provides instructional video materials, learning materials such as activity sheets, books as
supplementary materials that appropriate to their reading level
 Monitor the learners improvement/progress.

1. Catch them Early (CTE) Early Reading Intervention Program


- Ito ay isang early reading intervention program na kung saan iniiwasan ang problema sa
pagbasa. Isisinasagawa ito para malaman ang kahinaan ng mga bata sa pagbasa.Layunin ng intervention
na ito na magkaroon ng kamulatan ang mga bata sa mga tunog ng titik,maipakilala ang pantig ng salita,
pagkahilig sa pagbasa at higit sa lahat ang pagkakatuto at pag-unawa sa pagbasa.

2. Reading Assessment of Learners -  Project Real


- Isinasagawa ito sa mga bata sa Grade I para malaman kung nakikilala o narerecognize ang malaki
at maliit na titik ng alpabeto, kasama ang mga tunog nito at paggamit ng higit  na madali ngunit kawili
wiling babasahin.

3. Project GOLD  (Get Over Learning Difficulties)-Bibigyang muli ang mga bata ng iba’t ibang exercise
para sa mga lesson na hindi namaster.

4. Project DEAR (Drop Everything and Read)


-Minsan sa isang buwan sa loob ng 30 minuto ay hinahayaan naming magsipagbasa ang mga bata
ng anumang babasahin tulad ng mga komoiks, magasins, at newspaper at hinahayaang ishare ang
anumang nabasa sa ibang bata.
-Paggamit ng plaskards, word games para sa mabilis na pagkilala sa salita at maiwasan ang untol untol na
pagbasa.

5. Project Shared Reading


-Ang layunin nito ay para madebelop ang kagustuhan sa pagbasa. Sinisimulan sa Filipino ang
pagbasa nang malakas sa klase ng isang kwento. Ipinapakita ng guro ang tamang pagbasa at pagkatapos
ay hihikayatin ang mga bata na bumasa ng malakas sabay ng taga-pagbasa.
-Pagbibigay ng sapat na pagkakataon na makabasa ng malakas
-Pagbibigay ng mga sapat na pagsasanay sa pagbasa ng by thought units at hindi isa isang salita.
-Pagbibigay ng mga pagsasanay sa pag –unawa ng maiikli at madadaling babasahin upang malaman ang
kasanayan sa komprehensyon.

6. Little Teachers
-Layunin ng proyektong ito na mahikayat at matulungan ang mga slow/poor  readers mula doon
sa magagaling na magsipagbasa. Pumipili ang principal at teacher ng mahusay na bumasa at bawat isa
dito ay magkakaroon ng isang kasamang slow/poor reader.
