In general, this workshop was both educational and enjoyable.
The participants were all
cooperative and willing to give their ideas. The speakers introduced us to the fundamentals of bioinformatics, which I can apply to my future career. I now understand what bioinformatics is and how to locate variants of interest using available databases on the internet. I've developed a greater appreciation for the technology that underpins all of this. It is, in fact, beneficial to the scientific community and is particularly helpful during epidemics/pandemics.
