What You Will Learn
* What to start tracking
* How to start tracking
Any good business will track its results. Whether it be for personal reference, a potential future
sale or be used to analyse your performance, tracking data is essential
[Template] Monthly Tracking Sheet
So the sheet is pretty straight forward. That said, for some of the more tricky bits, here's where you
need to look.
Search Impressions
To get this, head to your Google Search Console and go to Performance. Here, you'll be able to see
your total number of impressions.
What's an impression? Well, this isn't necessarily people who click on your website, but those who
see your website pop up during any given search.
You can see how many people actually visited your website using Google Analytics.
The interface is pretty similar to Google Search console so you can sort by dates.
Remember to only count Users, not sessions - this will de-duplicate repeat visitors for you.
Ahrefs DR And Rank
You can grab this from your Ahrefs dashboard, but be aware that it will take a while to populate
and you may not be able to populate these columns for the first month or two.
Just remember, these ranks are entirely proprietary. Just because they're going up, it doesn't
necessarily mean you're making money just yet - keep your eye on the end game prize!
Affi
ate Clicks And Earnings
This will vary depending on your Affiliate dashboard, but it's pretty self explanatory as to why you
would want to track this.
Remember, you can also grab your clicks in ThirstyAfiliates too if you so wish!
Article Stats
It's a good idea to keep a track on your publishing stats as youll start to notice any bottlenecks in
content production almost immediately.
If your wordcount drops dramatically or your number of articles published dips, you can go ahead
and investigate why and get to the root cause.
Links
And finally, links.
Again, this is mostly about accountability and making sure you haven't let things slip at any point.
