INTRODUCTION
The WordForTodayDevotional is a direct vision from heaven. I
never intended writing at all in ministry. But as I was waiting on the
Lord, reading my Bible, the Holy Spirit came and this was birthed on the
22nd January 2020. He said speaking to me “it is not you, it is I and it
shall invade the world with signs, miracles and creative testimonies.”
I congratulate you therefore, for the privilege to have this copy
with you. Believe that your case is settled and that you must follow
among the multitudes that will share their testimonies around the world.
Now, when you have a testimony by this material, please honour the
Lord Yahushua and the Precious Holy Spirit by sharing it with us, so we
can thank Him on your behalf. So send in your testimonies through the

Our prophetic focus for the Month of January 2023 therefore, is
“I AM EMPOWERED ON THE ALTAR OF FASTING AND PRAYER TO SERVE
THE DEPENDABLE GOD” (Luke 4:14). II Corinthians 4:16 says, “For which
cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward
man is renewed day by day.” Fasting is as though your outward man,
your physical body is perishing but your inward man; your spirit-man is
being sharpened and whetted to cut deep and sharp. Fasting is
surrendering to the Master to make you usable, and profitably so.
Serving Him profitably is what commits His integrity to fulfill His
covenant in our lives (see John 15:16). This year will see the
manifestation of the Dependable Yahweh in your life. Get set to serve
and be diligent to whet your edges. Shalom!
How To Use WordForTodayDevotional For Total Benefit

1. Use it during your quiet time. For best result, use it very early in the
morning while there is tranquillity and your body is not tired to receive
from the Holy Spirit.
2. Meditate on what the day’s word is saying and how it applies to you.
If you need to repent or amend, be quick to respond to the promptings
of the Holy Spirit for maximum benefit.
3. Pray the prayers and confessions aloud and mean it from your heart.
4. Expect to receive according to the day’s prophetic release. They are
not for entertainment but for performance in your life.
5. Share your testimonies because the Lord Jesus is waiting to receive

Original Hebrew Names:
We have effected a very great switch on using the original

Hebrew names of the LORD GOD and JESUS CHRIST. We discovered that
the current name Jesus came about after about three translations and
does not represent the correct Hebrew/Aramaic name of the Son of
Yahweh as He was called when He walked the earth. The correct Hebrew
name from our findings is Yahushua (Jesus) HaMashiach (the Anointed,
Christ), and we have transited to using that. Also the sacred name of
the LORD GOD which in Hebrew is represented as YHWH which is
Yahweh or other Hebrew variants like Adonai, Elohim, El-Shaddai, etc
shall be used going forward. Name is very important in the realm of the
spirit and our Father does not play with it. It may sound strange to you
because you are already used to what you were taught before but as you
follow us to call Him the original real name, you shall become well
acquainted with them.
This may also affect Hebrew names in general as we may from
time to time refer to the original Hebrew names of individuals as against
what is regular in our day.

WHAT IS THE HOLY SPIRIT SAYING
THIS JANUARY 2023?
And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into

Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the
region round about.
Luke 4:14 [KJV]
Happy New Year to you beloved! It is with a great joy

that I welcome you to this year of the Dependable Yahweh. We
do not take for granted His great goodness and mercies which
He has manifested in our lives from January 2022 to today 1st
January 2023. If we are to pay for only oxygen for 365 days, the
wealth of a whole nation would deplete for the bill of just one
person. Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr told of an experience where he
went to pray for someone in the hospital in UK. He watched as a
tube carried the blood of the person from his body to a machine
and back to his body and when he asked what the problem was,
he was told that this person’s system cannot oxygenated his
blood so they needed the machine to take his blood and
oxygenate it and give it right back to him and that process costs
£9,000 per week. That means if he is to continue in that process
for a year, it would cost £468,000 for 52 weeks. That is just for
oxygenating blood. How much would it cost to keep the heart
beating, the liver functioning, the lungs, the nerves, and every
vital organ functioning. Man is too expensive for man to
maintain. It is only our creator that can maintain man. This is why
if every breath is praise, it would still not be enough to truly
appreciate Yahweh. So go ahead and praise Him some more and
more.
We trust Yahweh that December 2022 was explosive for
you here with #WordForTodayDevotional where Yahweh took us
through the mystery of divine direction. We explored
dimensions in divine direction, from seeing the value of
instruction, to checking if we are on the pedestal where we could
be led, to finding exactly how Yahweh leads, to understanding
how to access His voice, to exploring the profits of being led by
Yahweh. We sincerely believe Yahweh that you would never miss
your step with Yahweh again in life. As you apply what you have
learnt and become diligent in developing your spirit, you will
grow to instantly recognize the leading of your heavenly Father
even in the very minutest detail of life.
Our Heavenly Father has said to us that 2023 is a year
that He will prove through our lives that He does not lie and that
He cannot lie. He will make a distinction between those that
serve Him and those that serve Him not (see Malachi 3:17-18).
The year is a year of the servants of our Yahweh. Beloved, the
only way to make the most of destiny this year is to covenant to
serve the Yahweh with all your heart. 2023 is the year to see the
integrity of Yahweh's Word in raw manifestation but only on the
behalf of those that will believe Him enough to commit to serve
Him. This first day of the year I present to you a choice according
to Joshua 24:15 “..choose you this day whom ye will serve;..”
Choose to serve the Lord Yahweh from this day and all through
this year. Let this be your new year resolution. “THIS 2023 I (put
your name) WILL SERVE YAHWEH WITH ALL MY HEART,
STRENGTH, EMOTIONS AND RESOURCES. SO HELP ME LORD.”
If you have made that choice to serve Yahweh this year,
HAPPY NEW YEAR BELOVED!
then it is very vital we get it right from the beginning. Yahweh
intends to use us to thresh the earth this year, reaping the rip
harvests of souls. You are a weapon and you need to submit
yourself this month for the Master to sharpen you. Ecclesiastes
10:10 says, “If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge,
then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to
direct.” It is wisdom to whet the edge if you are going to be
useful in the hands of the Master the Lord Yahushua this year.
Isaiah 41:15 says, “Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing
instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and
beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff” How does the
Lord achieve our whetting and sharpening? It is through the
altar of fasting. Fasting is the Wisdom of whetting the edge so
we can be sharpened to thresh the mountains of challenges both
in our own lives and in the lives of those in our harvest field.

THANKSGIVING HAPPY NEW YEAR BELOVED!

Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of life, of seeing a brand
new year of 2023 and this beginning month. Thank You for
sending Yahushua HaMashiach to pay the prize for my sins and
for the privilege of your presence in my life by the Holy Spirit.
Thank You for all you did for us in the month of December.
Thank You for providing me an avenue to be empowered and
sharpened by the altar of fasting and prayer. Thank You for the
strength to wait upon you this month life like never before in the
name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!
PROPHETIC RELEASE
I decree that this month of January shall not see your end but
you shall see its end. Your eyes have seen January 2023, if
Yahushua tarries, your eyes shall also see January 2024. I
decree no evil news shall be heard in your life, family and
job/business. This month, the heavens open over you and your
family for a turnaround your world cannot deny. This month,
every agenda of evil against you is shattered now. You shall
only walk in success, increase, favour, supernatural possibilities
and triumphs on every side you turn. No man shall be able to
stand against you and your progress all the days of this
month. Testimonies shall be your daily bread this month and
celebration unending shall be in your house. Receive strength
to wait in fasting this month in the name of Yahushua
HaMashiach Amen.

You saved to serve. The reason Yahushua did not call you
home to be with Him at your salvation is because, He needs you
here to serve the interest of His Kingdom. The Kingdom of
Yahushua on earth now is the souls that have subscribed to the
Lordship of Yahushua in their lives. The interest of Yahweh's
kingdom on earth is all about the salvation and establishment of
souls. This is your sole responsibility as a believer now. This is
the very reason why you are alive today. So many people think
that they are alive to worship and praise Yahweh. That is true but
you don’t need to be alive to worship and praise Yahweh. When
you go to be with the Lord Yahushua, all you do 24/7 is
worshipping the beauty of Holiness. If worship and praise is the
reason you are alive now, then you don’t need to be on earth to
truly praise the Lord. The very reason you are alive now is to be
an instrument to bring someone to salvation. Remember, the
only reason the Lord Yahushua came to earth is the salvation of
the soul of man. There is no other reason. Humanity was lost in
sin and needed a saviour; one who can satisfy the demand of
Yahweh's justice. When He was born, the angel announced His
purpose. In Matthew 1:21 the Word says, “And she shall bring
forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save
his people from their sins.” He came to save souls.
When He was departing, He left us with a command.
Mark 16:15 says, “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt
call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.”
The very reason He left you after you were saved is to be an
instrument to save someone else. So, serving Yahweh is
principally about serving the interest of His Kingdom which is the
salvation and establishment of souls. This is what is year 2023 is
about. It is about entering a covenant to serve Yahweh with
everything that is in you thereby committing Him to fulfilling
His Word in your life. This is a year to settle down in raw
kingdom service and watch what others are running around to
get supernaturally being added to you.
Now, what this first month is about is getting
empowered to serve Yahweh profitably. The altar of that
empowerment is fasting and prayer. We don’t just want to
serve Yahweh but we want to serve Him with proofs that must
be undeniable thereby watching the Dependable Yahweh who
cannot lies and who does not lie show up in our affairs making
us an envy among people. This is what is year is all about.

Helping to save and establish souls is the very reason you are
here. Don’t fail.

I understand that I am born again to help other become born
again. I shall deploy everything at my disposal this year to
fulfilling my mission. I shall not fail. Halleluyah!

And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights,

he was afterward an hungred.

There is a misunderstanding among believers as to what
a fast is and because of that lack of knowledge, Satan deceives a
lot of believers. Webster’s, and also the Bible Dictionary, define
fasting as, “abstinence from food. Especially as a religious
observance.” (FAST: “To abstain from food.”). We may ask the
question, “Is water food?“ First, we will consider Webster’s
definition of food, and it reads as follows: “Food: nutriment;
nourishment in solid form.” Food and water-drinking are two
different things. To do without water results in thirsting, and
thirsting means, “a great desire to drink.” Fasting will be
understood better if we recognize these facts. One should not
associate abstinence from water, with the subject of fasting; thus,
we see the contradistinction between food and water. Fasting
has nothing with drinking water. In fact, you should drink water
while you are fasting for several reasons. When you are on a fast,
your body goes into cleansing called detoxification. This process
needs a lot of water to complete. When we are talking about a
fast here, we are talking about a protracted fast or a complete
fast. We are dealing with the type of fast taken by the Lord
Yahushua HaMashiach. A fast like that of Paul, or Daniel: “Bible
Fast.” A complete fast is a fast from the time hunger leaves, until
the time hunger returns. Such a fast may continue from twenty-
one to forty days, depending on the individual, and also on the
amount of time it takes you to get your prayers through to
Heaven.
A short fast is a fast of less than ten days. You should not
fast for more than three days without drinking water. Any fast of
more than three days should involve drinking plenty of water in
order to help the body clean up. This cleansing of the body is
one of the physical benefits of fasting. Your body is the
temple of the Holy Spirit, and to attempt a major fast without
water, would defile and pollute the body. Scripture states: “If any
man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy.” I Cor. 3:17.
This accounts for why people have destroyed their body with
ignorance while fasting and that ignorance has given wrong
impression about fasting to others.
Water is not food and cannot break a fast. You are
hurting your body when you take a major fast without drinking
water and it is pure ignorance and not in line with scriptures.
Paul knew the difference between ‘thirsting” and “fasting.” He
distinguishes them in II Cor. 11:27, “in hunger and thirst, IN
FASTINGS OFTEN.” If “hunger and thirst” were the same thing as
“fasting,” he would not have repeated the same thing, any more
than “cold” and “nakedness” are the same. Please note that a
comma is inserted between each phrase.
REMEMBER
Fasting is abstinence from food.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank You for Your Word to me today. I ask for the
zeal to fast from today the right way in the name of Yahushua
HaMashiach Amen!

I decree a fresh hunger for a closer walk with Yahweh in the name

Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad

countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may
appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have
their reward. Matthew 6:16 (KJV)
There are three activities that are non-negotiable for the
believer. They are a matter of when and not if. First is giving.
Second is praying and the third is fasting. These activities are a
matter of living for the believer. You cannot live the life of
HaMashiach (Christ, Messiah, the Anointed one) without giving,
praying and fasting. So many have chosen giving and praying
and forsaken fasting and that accounts for the powerlessness in
the Church today. With all that Yahushua is, he needed to fast for
forty days, that should tell you that fasting is a must, it is a
matter of when and not if. Until you fast, you cannot connect the
power to fulfill your destiny on earth. Until you fast, there are
what Yahushua called “this kind” that cannot be solved in your
life (see Matthew 17:21). You should be fasting as often as you
are praying and giving. Everybody in all ages that have
connected with power with Yahweh fasted. Fasting does not
change Elohim but fasting changes you.
One of the things that stops our access to Yahweh is the
workings of the flesh. The carnal nature of man works against
him in connecting with Yahweh. Romans 8:6-8 says, ‘6 For to be
carnally minded is death? but to be spiritually minded is life and
peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is
not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then
they that are in the flesh cannot please God.’ What fasting does
is to deal with the flesh so well that your spirit can rise to connect
with the Spirit of Yahweh. A 21-day fast will help you crucify the
flesh and give you access into the horizon of communication with
Elohim that you never knew was possible.
Isaiah 58:6-8 implies that fasting must of necessity go
with prayer. Verse 6 says, ‘Is not this the fast that I have chosen?
to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens,
and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?’
This is done as you pray to loose the bands of wickedness. So
acceptable fasting includes prayer. Fasting without prayer is
hunger strike. Isaiah 40:31 describes fasting as waiting upon the
Yahweh. This means that most times of your fast should be in
quiet expectation in His presence for what the Elohim might say
or show to you. This is waiting upon Yahweh; fixing your gaze
upon Elohim in expectation. Major part of this waiting on Elohim
is reading, studying and meditating on His Word. As you do this
during your fast, you are illuminated. Psalms 119:105 says, ‘Thy
word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.’ Elohim’s
word begins to enlighten your feet, showing you what to do on
pressing issues of your life. This is what scriptural fast is all
about.
REMEMBER
Scriptural fast is crucifying the flesh, praying, waiting and being
enlightened by the Word.
CONFESSION
I am a product of the Word of Yahweh therefore, I am conscious
that therein lies my life, future and development. As I wait upon
Elohim, my paths are enlightened. Glory be Yahweh.

the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

We have said over and over again that fasting does not
change Adonai. You are not fasting to get Yahweh to change His
mind because He is not a man with shifting shadows (James 1:17
NASB). Fasting is a tool to dethrone the flesh and until fasting
has accomplished this task, you have not fasted. In Colossians
3:5, we see what must be put to death, “Mortify therefore your
members which are upon the earth? fornication, uncleanness,
inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which
is idolatry:” and they are not something that you can do once
and for all. That accounts why consecrational fasts should be a
regular routine for any serious minded believer that is expecting
the rapture. But there is a long fast that breaks the holds of
these members of your flesh and disables them that they become
no more issues in your life. You must take opportunity of at least
one 21 or 40 days total fast just to deal with any form of flesh
manifestation in your life. Yours may not be fornication, but
what of bitterness, pride, hatred, gossip, wrath, malice, lies, envy
and jealousy (see Colossians 3:8-9). Even among ministers, you
see a lot of envy and jealousy. You need a total fast to lay
yourself down at the altar and let the Lord Holy Spirit expose you
to you.
Our text says that if you through the Spirit mortifies the
deeds of the flesh you shall live. It is you that will do it but
through the Holy Spirit. It is you that is going to push the plates
away and come before the Lord Holy Spirit, for this dissection.
You can see from that scripture that though at salvation you
received eternal life but you cannot manifest the reality of that
life until flesh is mortified. It is not whether you are saved, but is
there proof of your salvation? The proof of salvation is a
mortified flesh that enthrones the Holy Spirit to reveal the reality of
the life that is in your recreated human spirit. This is what fasting is
all about. It is not a religious obligation. No! A thousand times No!
Fasting is an altar of death to the flesh. It is a place of death and
until your flesh dies, your spirit-man will die. It is either the flesh
dies and the spirit-man lives or the flesh lives and engenders the
inevitable death of the spirit-man.
Even though you are going to reap other numerous benefits
in fasting, the main objective is to mortify the flesh. Let us say here
that this is NOT the three days fast thing. This is a fast of at least 21
days total fast. If you are busy and needs energy to work, you can
try Daniel’s fast and be importune in the place of prayer scheduling
like four to seven sessions of prayer daily. But no matter how busy
you are, plan to take at least one time 21 or 40 days total fast in a
whole 365 days. Instead of travelling for sight-seeing, plan your next
leave to be spent fasting. Selah!

HIGHEST INTENSIVE PRAYER
O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul

Fasting is the expression of the longing of the flesh after Adonai.
Fasting is the flesh saying that there is something more
important to me now than taking care of me. It is in that longing
state that the soul can express the highest intensity of prayer
possible. The earnestness that makes prayer produce
tremendous power that is dynamic in its working is only possible
in a fast. Fasting offers you the opportunity to produce the
highest intensity of prayer that can ever be possible from the
human soul. The flesh in a fast has been completely dethroned
and the soul is at its purest state and can easily connect to the
frequency of Adonai. This accounts why in a long fast, once you
cross 14 days to 21 days, it just seems your eyes pops open and
you begin to see into the realm of the spirit easily. At that point,
your prayer even without eloquence or vigour in expressing it,
carries such power that blows the mind of the world around you.
Most people think that what makes prayer powerful is the
expression when you are praying. Others thing that your
demonstrations will avail in the realm of the spirit, so they go
ahead to shout, haul, kick, box and do all manner of gymnastics.
But the intensity of prayer is not in any of those things. When
you are around 21 days and above in your total fast, without even
energy, if you have opportunity to see a demoniac, just a “go”
under your breathe sends the legion quaking out.
That was the difference between Yahushua and his
disciples in Matthew 17 where they couldn’t cast that demon out
and heal that boy. With all their gymnastic skills and shouts, still
nothing happened. But when Yahushua came on the scene,
without stress, the boy was delivered and healed. Not because
He is the Son of Yahweh, no! He fasted 40 days and because of
that his words was with power. You can operate in that realm
too, if you can go through that discipline. It makes you to live
free from the elements of this world and hell. Fasting confers on
you the dominion of Yahweh because in a fast, you had stayed
long in his presence that some of His authority has robbed off on
you. This was the secret of “Jesus, I know, Paul, I know, but you
who are you?” (see Acts 19:15). Demons knows the one that has
got that authority, your shouting and gymnastics
notwithstanding.
Remember that our focus this month is I Am Empowered
On the Altar of Fasting and Prayer To Serve The Dependable God.
We are showing you today how fasting produces the highest
intensive prayer that can be and that is exactly you are
empowered as you fast. Take advantage of what fasting offers.

Fasting is a physiological process and would rid the body
of most diseases. We are going to see some scientifically backed
process that happen in our body when we fast. They include:
1. Promotes Blood Sugar Control by Reducing Insulin
Resistance: Several studies have found that fasting may improve
blood sugar control, which could be especially useful for those at
risk of diabetes.1 Decreasing insulin resistance can increase your
body’s sensitivity to insulin, allowing it to transport glucose from
your bloodstream to your cells more efficiently.2
2. Promotes Better Health by Fighting Inflammation: While
acute inflammation is a normal immune process used to help
fight off infections, chronic inflammation can have serious
consequences for your health. Research shows that inflammation
may be involved in the development of chronic conditions, such
as heart disease, cancer and rheumatoid arthritis.3 Some studies
have found that fasting can help decrease levels of inflammation
and help promote better health.4 Fasting could decrease several
markers of inflammation and may be useful in treating
inflammatory conditions, such as multiple sclerosis.
3. May Enhance Heart Health by Improving Blood Pressure,
Triglycerides and Cholesterol Levels: Heart disease is considered
the leading cause of death around the world, accounting for an
estimated 31.5% of deaths globally.5 Switching up your diet and
lifestyle is one of the most effective ways to reduce your risk of
heart disease. Some research has found that incorporating
fasting into your routine may be especially beneficial when it
comes to heart health. Fasting has been associated with a lower
risk of coronary heart disease and may help lower blood
pressure, triglycerides and cholesterol levels.
4. May Boost Brain Function and Prevent Neurodegenerative
Disorders: Though research is mostly limited to animal research,
several studies have found that fasting could have a powerful
effect on brain health. Animal studies show that fasting could
improve brain function, increase nerve cell synthesis and protect
against neurodegenerative conditions, such as Alzheimer’s
disease and Parkinson’s.6,7 Well, the case of Daniel in Daniel 1:20
shows that fasting indeed do affect brain function.
5. Aids Weight Loss by Limiting Calorie Intake and Boosting
Metabolism: Some research has also found that short-term
fasting may boost metabolism by increasing levels of the
neurotransmitter norepinephrine, which could enhance weight
loss.8 In fact, one review showed that whole-day fasting could
reduce body weight by up to 9% and significantly decrease body
fat over 12–24 weeks.9 Fasting may increase metabolism and
help preserve muscle tissue to reduce body weight and body fat.

6. Increases Growth Hormone Secretion, Which Is Vital for
Growth, Metabolism, Weight Loss and Muscle Strength: Human
growth hormone (HGH) is a type of protein hormone that is
central to many aspects of your health. In fact, research shows
that this key hormone is involved in growth, metabolism, weight
loss and muscle strength (10, 11, 12, 13). Several studies have
found that fasting could naturally increase HGH levels. One
study in 11 healthy adults showed that fasting for 24 hours
significantly increased levels of HGH.14 Another small study in
nine men found that fasting for just two days led to a 5-fold
increase in the HGH production rate.15 Plus, fasting may help
maintain steady blood sugar and insulin levels throughout the
day, which may further optimize levels of HGH, as some research
has found that sustaining increased levels of insulin may reduce
HGH levels.16
7. Could Delay Aging and Extend Longevity: Several animal
studies have found promising results on the potential lifespan-
extending effects of fasting. In one study, rats that fasted every
other day experienced a delayed rate of aging and lived 83%
longer than rats that didn’t fast.17 Other animal studies have
had similar findings, reporting that fasting could be effective in
increasing longevity and survival rates (18, 19, 20).
8. May Aid in Cancer Prevention and Increase the Effectiveness
of Chemotherapy: Animal and test-tube studies indicate that
fasting may benefit the treatment and prevention of cancer. In
fact, one rat study found that alternate-day fasting helped block
tumor formation.21 Similarly, a test-tube study showed that
exposing cancer cells to several cycles of fasting was as effective
as chemotherapy in delaying tumor growth and increased the
effectiveness of chemotherapy drugs on cancer formation.22
If you however, have a serious organic ailment, fast under
the watch of your medical doctor. The author has read of cancer
testimonies after long fast. Apply wisdom and be sensitive both
to your health and the Holy Spirit.

Your life as a believer is a consecration to our Lord and
Saviour Yahushua HaMashiach. However, there is a difference
between the potential and the reality. Most believers are living
daily lives of filth and are being defeated by sin. Their lives is
anything but a life of consecration. Why is this the case? The
answer may not be far-fetched when you observe their daily lives.
Fasting offers us the opportunity to consecrate our lives and to
maintain that consecration. A believer’s consecration is probably
highest during fasting. Romans 12:1 says, “I beseech you
therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your
bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your
reasonable service.” How do we present our bodies as living
sacrifices to Adonai? It is through fasting. When you fast, you
are consecrating your body to Adonai as a living sacrifice, holy
and acceptable. Until your body is on the altar, you cannot live a
consecrated life. It is practically impossible. That is why the Lord
Yahushua didn’t say “if you fast” in Matthew 6:16, rather He says
“Moreover when ye fast”. He knows that you cannot walk
acceptably with the Holy Spirit if your body is not laid at the altar
as a living sacrifice.
Fasting is something you cannot avoid. One of my most
cherished mentors, Bishop David Oyedepo said that “Fasting is a
spiritual hardware without which the software would never work”.
He went ahead to say that there is no software for fasting, it is all
hardware. You desire to walk in holiness, then fasting is a non-
negotiable hardware you must subscribe to. You desire to see
any form of addiction humiliated in your life, then you must
subscribe to fasting. Remember, it is not 24 hours or even three
days fasting, we are talking about here. We are talking about at
least 10 to 40 days fast. When you combine a life of
consecrational fasting with Wisdom, you will walk in perfect
dominion over sin and unrighteousness. There is no hold of sin
that cannot be broken in a fast. If the Lord Yahushua says that
“this kind does not go except by prayer and fasting” (Matthew
17:21), then it behoves us to know that to disarm “this kind” of
whatever it may be would require fasting and prayer.
See! There is war that we are in against sin. It is a fight.
Hebrews 12:4 (BBE) says, ‘Till now you have not given your blood
in your fight against sin:’ No wonder the only potent instrument
is fasting. What really keeps us from sin is the word of God
(Psalms 119:9,11) but until you see it, you cannot become it. In
fasting, light dawns on your spirit, illuminating your spirit-man to
know what is the hope of your calling and when light comes,
darkness naturally looses its grips on its victims.
Apostle Paul says, that his conscience was bearing him
witness in the Holy Ghost. That is how the Lord leads. On
whatever you are seeking Elohim’s direction for, ensure that your
conscience is bearing you witness before you go ahead. Stay
action and continue to wait on the Lord until you get that witness
of your conscience. When your conscience bears you witness
concerning anything, then you can go ahead to commence
action. Remember that the primary way Yahweh leads us is by
the inward witness. In the first place, you already have the
inward witness, then you can see the witness of your conscience,
you are good to go. These things require training. You are not
going to be an expert over night, but as you continue to walk
with the Holy Ghost and to pray in the tongues of the Spirit more
often, you would begin to notice that witness stronger and

“And unto them that look for him” is the requirement for
the rapture. Unto them that yearn for him shall he appear the
second time unto salutation. Beloved, are you longing for the
return of the Lord Yahushua? The thought of the return of the
Lord Yahushua is not a pleasant one for many. Young ladies on
the line for marriage would say “let Him wait till I marry!” Same
with young men on the line for marriage. So many believers
want the Lord to delay His coming so they can achieve one thing
or the other. They are not even desiring His coming let alone
looking for it. The truth is that when you are living with a lot of
worldliness, you would not desire His soon return. You are in
love with the things of the world and for you His return is a
distraction. Many believers would run away from pulpits that
constantly remind them of the eminent return of the Lord. The
ears of so many believers have started itching at the sound of
Maranatha! (our Lord come!). Why? Because fasting has become
a thing for pastors and ministers for so many believers. No
wonder, worldliness has eaten into the very fabrics of our souls.
This world now holds so much attraction and lure for many that
there is no longer any difference between them and the world. In
fact, they are now imitating the world.
Beloved, fasting is the only way to keep eternity in view
on a consistent basis. Fasting offers you the opportunity to see
the world as it truly is – reserved for fire (see II Peter 3:10). This
world is already marked for demolition. All the houses and
things that are occupying your fleeting time is already marked for
demolition by fire. So many believers don’t even know this. The
way they pursue this combustible materials to the point of
cheating, lying and even killing is deplorable. I bet you that is
reading this have not even come to this realization. If you have,
then it would affect your reaction both to the things of the world
and to sinners around you. II Peter 3:11 says, ‘Seeing then that all
these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye
to be in all holy conversation and godliness’ That is to say that if
you come to the realization of the true state of this earth, it
would compel an action from you; it would compel you to live
holy and godly.
Beloved, the rapture is the next big event the world is
waiting for. Immediately the rapture happens, everyone on earth
will be compelled to receive the vaccination or whatever they will
call it which is a mark of identification to enable you to return to
your normal life, otherwise you would not be able to buy or sell
or even work. The best way to ensure that worldliness does not
have a hold on you is a life of consecrational fasting.
REMEMBER
It takes consecrational fasting to maintain your focus on the
return of the Lord.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word to me today. Please

We are living in the days of prophetic gross darkness (see
Isaiah 60:1-2). Darkness connotes the devil and all his
manifestations. Darkness is a state of visionlessness,
purposelessness, and hopelessness. Darkness is a state where
you do not know what to do, where to go and what to expect.
Darkness is a state of confusion, contradiction, conflict and
depression. Light here implies illumination, insight,
understanding and enlightenment. Light here means the
opening of the Word of God for you to the point of
understanding and seeing really what God is showing you from
the pages of scripture. To be lighted is to be lifted. To be
illuminated is to be elevated. The glory of your life is at the
mercy of light because until you are illuminated, you will end up
eliminated. Your change of story is at the instance of light. Until
you can see it, you cannot seize it. Your inheritance in
HaMashiach (Christ) is available and ready for the taking, but it
would take you to see it to seize it. So anything that you would
do to see the hidden treasures behind the written Word, it is
wisdom to go for it.
There is one thing the Bible guarantees will make your
light to break forth as the morning. It is fasting. Fasting
facilitates the springing forth of your light which in turn causes
you to take a flight to the top. Your place is at the top if you are
interested. When you fast, the limitations of the flesh are
overcome and your spirit is freed to explore in revelations of the
Lord. The scales over your eyes suddenly fall off and you can
now see clearly what the Spirit is saying to you to do. And when
you can see the Word of God, it imparts faith. When faith comes,
anything is absolutely possible to you. You begin to walk in the
stances of Adonai because you are operating in the faith of
Yahweh by the illumination of scriptures. That impacts authority
and dominion over the elements of the earth. This is your turn.
You shall no more walk in darkness. Confusion is over in your life
from today!
Influence and impact for the gospel is only possible when
your light comes. But light is not cheap, it comes in the labour
room of fasting. It is those pregnant with fasting that gives birth
to spiritual understanding which we call light. See the expression
“Then shall thy light break forth as the morning”, that connotes
that it was hedged in until there is a force that catapults it out
forcefully as it were. Fasting is that force that secures and breaks
forth your light. Being lighted is your inheritance in HaMashiach
but it takes fasting to see the realization. As you fast and pray,
the prayer of Apostle Paul in Ephesians 1:17-18 is fulfilled in your
life. That shall be your testimony!

Fasting secures the breaking forth of spiritual understanding.

When we say that fasting springs forth speedily your
healing and health, we are just stating the obvious both from
scriptures and from raw testimonies. There is no sickness that
cannot be terminated by fasting. Even medical doctors, have
discovered that majority of ailments is a function of what people
eat, so when you eliminate such diets, the body naturally
recovers. Cancers have been seen to dry up and die in long fasts
and afterwards the person tests showed that he/she was cancer
free. Your health springing forth speedily is both supernaturally
and naturally. The body has been enabled by the creator to heal
itself in some cases that the challenge is not organic. Just going
on a 21 days to 40 days total fast can take care of your frequent
health challenges, and afterwards, resume eating healthy ensures
that you sustain the gains of your fast. And all this is just
naturally, the body repairs itself. Please refer to the scientifically
certified repair workings of fasting as we have already seen.
Your health springing forth is also supernaturally.
Whatever the challenge with your body and health is can be
sorted out by the power of Adonai as you fast. In this realm, all
organic malfunctions can be healed by the power of Adonai as
you fast. The Lord Yahushua says that “this kind” does not go
except by prayer and fasting (see Mark 9:29). “This kind” covers
all types and even ones that cannot be diagnosed in the
laboratory because they have their roots in Satan. As you fast,
the roots of that affliction comes under the judgment of Yahweh
and you walk free. Bondages are broken; yokes are destroyed
and whatever that is troubling you comes under the vengeance
of the Lord as you fast. In His book “Fasting” Jentezen Franklin
shared testimonies of his Church members along this line. They
fast for 21 days to start the year. “Eve had people testify that
only three days into a fast for a loved one suffering with cancer,
the cancer was completely cured! Another lady's son was dying
from a 107-degree fever associated with his leukemia. The very
first day of the fast, the boy's fever broke, and he didn't suffer a
trace of brain damage! One year, only three days into the fast,
there's a song in your heart, you never hear the sound from
heaven. Nothing is more colourful than divine guidance. So,
destroy whatever causes sorrow around you; they are out to
destroy your destiny. Sorrow won't let you be joyful or allow
your song to rise up to Him; and until your song rises, His voice
of direction will not come down.
Melissa testified that her father had been battling prostate cancer
and that she had begun the fast on his behalf. When he went to
the doctors for a procedure, to their shock, the doctors found no
signs of the cancer anywhere! God healed him.”
You can stand for your loved ones and demand that they
are released from terminal affliction in fasting and the Lord will
honour you as you will see their healing springing forth speedily.
It is compulsory to be happy. In fact, it is dangerous to
be sad or gloomy! If you must win in life, you must be joyful.
Every time you're broken, you lose very precious things such as
divine direction. Satan steals it from you. Hear this again: until

CONFESSION
The Spirit of Him that raised HaMashiach from the dead lives in
me and that Spirit revitalises my body. As I fast my youth is
renewed like the eagles and my health springs forth speedily.

establishes you in righteousness because you cannot approach
Yahweh in sin. And righteousness is not just who we are but what
we do. I John 3:7 says, ‘Little children, let no man deceive you: he
that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.’
Fasting helps you establish the culture of doing righteousness.
When one does not live a life of consecrational fasting, his/her
life will be filled with uncleanness and filth of all manner. Though
he/she may have genuinely at one time confessed the lordship of
HaMashiach over his/her life but because he/she has refused to
work out his/her salvation with fear and trembling (see
Philippians 2:12), he/she cannot exercise dominion over sin and
unrighteousness. Yahushua saw this when He said in Matthew
6:16 “Moreover when ye fast”. Fasting offers you establishment in
righteousness.
When you are established in righteousness, it provokes a
lot of chain reactions in your life. Isaiah 54:14 says, ‘In
righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from
oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not
come near thee.’ Being established in righteousness removes you
far from oppression. Whether it is oppression by Satan and the
gates of hell or by wicked and unreasonable men, you are
removed far from oppression. Being established in righteousness
disables fear in your spirit. You begin to live as though the devil
doesn’t exist any more. The strength of the devil is a lifestyle of
sin and unrighteousness. Fear brings bondage. Fear magnets
death (see Hebrews 2:15). But as you are established in
righteousness you are far removed from terror. Terror is barred
from your life. Instead, you become the terroriser.
Being established in righteousness brings you to the
peace that surpasses all understanding. Your life is established in
the rest of Yahweh. Then you enjoy supernatural prosperity. The
power to make wealth is released upon you. All these are what a
life of righteousness affords you and it takes a life of consistent
consecrational fasting to come to that point where you are
established in righteousness. That is why it is almost impossible
to make a mark in the sands of time without a lifestyle of
consistent consecrational fasting adventure. As you observe this
kind of fasting lifestyle, your flesh is constantly mortified
empowering your spirit-man to be in full control. You shall not
fail!
REMEMBER
Fasting establishes you in righteousness.

Everybody that has been with Adonai on the mountain
always returns with His glory on their lives. Glory is the aura of
divinity manifest in our humanity. Glory is the presence of
Yahweh radiating in our lives. Glory is the glow of the Spirit of
Yahweh on the soul of a person that impacts on both his
countenance and disposition. The Hebrew word for glory is
‘Kabowd’ which means weight, splendour or glorious. That
means that you develop weight when you stay in Yahweh’s
presence that no satanic activity can dare to move you. Your
countenance is resplendent as a result of dwelling in Yahweh’s
presence in fasting. This was Moses’ experience whose physical
face was shining from the glory of Yahweh's presence. People
couldn’t look at his face. Just as the natural eyes cannot look into
the face of the sun, the glory of Yahweh was on Moses that much
that people couldn’t behold his face. This can be your experience
too. Whether your physical face shine as was the case with Moses
or not, there is a spiritual glory presence that comes upon you as
you fast. There is a weight you gain spiritually speaking in a fast
that separates you far from oppression.
When you acquire that glory, the defence of the Lord is
activated in your life. Let me show you how this works. That
glory is a treasure of heaven on earth. That glory is what
confirms you as an ambassador of the Kingdom of HaMashiach
on earth and that activates protection and preservation for you.
It is practically impossible for you to be wasted by Satan or
wicked and unreasonable men. You become a terror to evil and
your presence have demons screaming out. All because there is a
glory deposit on you from the presence of Yahweh as you
fellowship with Him in a fast. Heaven literally releases escorts
with you. The worth of this glory is worth everything for you to
desire for it to drop on you. This glory solves security challenges
of our day for you and everyone connected to you. Watch men
and women that are living in consecrational fasting as a lifestyle,
you see that they are the touch-not and that extends to anyone
that connects to their grace.
Do you want to be a terror to the gates of hell just at
your presence, then beloved go for the glory of Yahweh's
presence. Are you desirous to see the preservation of Yahweh
not just on you but on everyone that connects to your grace,
then do everything to receive the glory of Yahweh's presence as
your present-hour reality. This is the real deal in these days of
evil that we live in. Move into the zone of the touch-not as you
cultivate the lifestyle of consecrational fast.
REMEMBER
Yahweh's glory is released on you as you fast.

I am the glory of Yahweh. When I arrive that glory is seen and

through me the effects of that glory is manifestation for all to

Fasting brings earnestness to your prayers. We saw at
the beginning of this month that what produces dynamic power
is not just prayer because everybody is praying but not
everybody is experiencing tremendous power that is dynamic in
its workings. It is earnest prayer that makes tremendous power
available. Webster’s Dictionary defines earnest as ‘characterized
by or proceeding from an intense and serious state of mind’.
Artha Open Thesaurus defines earnest as ‘not distracted by
anything unrelated to the goal’. Amplified Bible define earnest
as’ heart-felt and continued’. And this earnestness is not a
function of physical exertion and plenty of words as our Lord
Yahushua has already said that you shall not be heard because of
your much speech (see Matthew 6:7). Hollering and
demonstrations is nothing when seeking to make your prayer
earnest. This earnestness is a spiritual force that must be added
to your prayer to make it produce dynamism and results. Vain
repetitions cannot help in this school of prayer at all. Finesse of
speech is utterly useless.
Now take the example of Hannah at Shiloh. She was
pouring out her heart to the Lord but no words could be
deciphered from what was coming out of her mouth. I Samuel
1:10 has this to say of Hannah, “And she was in bitterness of soul,
and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore.” Somebody in that
disposition couldn’t have followed others to partake of their
delicacy of the occasion. She was obviously fasting because I
Samuel 1:18 said that after she had encountered her change, “And
she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the
woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no
more sad.” It was after she received her answer that she broke
her fast. Obviously it was fasting that produced the earnestness
required to deliver answers to her prayer. This is how this thing
works beloved.
Every matter continues in its state of rest until a relevant
force moves it. Fasting is a spiritual force that gives your prayer
the wings to fly to the throne room with power and comes back
to you with answers. We have often heard that a prayerful
believer is a powerful believer, that is surely not the whole truth.
There is a level of power which you require to enforce your
expectation that you cannot access in the place of prayer without
fasting. Until you enter into the closet of fasting, you will be a
spectator in that realm. Until you go into the power generating
room of fasting, you will only wish and wish and end up in
frustration. You have an opportunity now to effect that change
you desire as you relate with the Lord in fasting. Do it!
REMEMBER
Fasting produces the earnestness required to empowers your
prayer.
PRAYER
Beloved Father, I thank You for Your word to me today. I receive
the grace to undertake that fast that will break the chains and set
me on that pedestal of perpetual victory always in the name of

TURNAROUND ENCOUNTERS

The altar of fasting and prayer is the place of turnaround
encounters. Turnaround encounters are encounters that make
you count in your generation. They are landmark encounters that
becomes beacons of reference in your life and destiny. The
scriptures did not disclose whether the Lord Yahushua was taking
a fast in addition to prayer in our text. However, it is obvious that
such manifestation is typical of a fasting praying. It is fasting
that brings intensity to prayer. It is fasting that brings depth of
concentration to prayer. As the Lord prayed the fashion of His
countenance was altered. That is what we call turnaround
encounters. Fasting is not a religious activity, it is an altar for
turnarounds that leaves a landmark in your life and destiny. You
must expect to experience a turnaround encounter at this altar of
fasting and prayer. Remember that in Luke 4:14 “And Jesus
returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went
out a fame of him through all the region round about.” At the
altar of fasting, the Lord Yahushua encountered power that
changed the course of His ministry forever. Fasting is for
empowerment. You must desire that “Lord, out of this depletion
of my body and strength at the altar of fasting, there must arise
an empowerment that will change everything in my life.” This
must be your desire as you fast.
See, Daniel’s life was transformed at the altar of fasting.
Daniel 9:3 says, “And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by
prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:”
As Daniel was in fasting and prayer, suddenly the heavens
opened and one of the encounters that altered history happened.
Daniel 9:21 says, “Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the
man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning,
being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the
evening oblation.” This is what I call turnaround encounter.
Beloved, we serve the God our Yahweh that is same yesterday,
today and forever. There is a turnaround encounter for you at the
altar of fasting. Don’t just fast, desire a visitation that will
become a reference point for generations like this one Daniel
had. If you know anything about eschatology, you would
understand that this particular encounter of Daniel became the
pillar of reference in eschatology. Oh, how far we are missing by
just continuing without fasting or just fasting for religious sake.
See the encounter of Apostle Peter in Acts 10. In the
beginning of the Church the Jewish believers never thought that
the command of the Master in Mark 16:15 to go into all the world
and preach the gospel to every creature included the gentiles. In
their mind, it is just salvation to the Jews. It is on the altar of
fasting that the stronghold was broken. As Apostle Peter was
fasting, he fall into a trance and an encounter opened up the
gospel to the gentiles. Acts 10:10 says, “And he became very
hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell
into a trance,” So, Peter was fasting and we saw that turnaround
encounter that brought about Peter ever going to the house of a
gentile to preach the gospel to them. It is your turn beloved to
experience a turnaround encounter! Shalom!
REMEMBER
Fasting is the platform for turnaround encounters.

Holy Father, I thank You for Your word to me today. I desire a
turnaround encounter in this fast Lord in the name of Yahushua

There are few things in life that are as profitable as divine

direction. In fact, without divine direction you would end up in
the hands of your enemies. One misdirection can ruin your entire
life. It doesn’t matter how successful you are now, just one
misdirection can bring you to poverty and defeat. Until you are
where Yahweh wants you to be, doing what He wants you to be
doing, you may not see His manifestation no matter how hard
you pray. Pa Hagin told of his personal story along this line. He
missed Adonai in changing Church one time. He accepted to
pastor this Church based on fleece and left the Church he was
pastoring. He would pray all week long and was full of power
but as soon as he stepped into that Church it was as if he was
poured cold water and he would lose everything he has for that
service. You are always your best at the place Yahweh placed
you. So whatever you would do to get on key with divine
direction, is great wisdom.
Now we have this guarantee from the Word of God that
when we fast, that our Yahweh shall guide us continually. Fasting
deals with your flesh. What disconnects us from the voice of
Yahweh most times is the flesh. We eat ourselves away and
become guilty of the sin of surfeiting. Surfeiting is what the Lord
Yahushua says in Luke 21:34, ‘And take heed to yourselves, lest at
any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and
drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon
you unawares.’ The Greek word is KRAIPALE meaning a glut. Glut
is to overeat or eat immodestly; make a pig of oneself. Surfeiting
is a sin. Overeating or eat immodestly is a sin. When we dwell in
that realm, the flesh cuts us off from the voice of direction both
from the Word and the Voice of the Holy Spirit. This is what
fasting does for us, it delivers us from the clutches of surfeiting,
so we can be sensitive to the leading of the Lord.
It was as Apostle Peter was fasting that he both saw a
vision and as he thought on the vision, he heard the voice of the
Holy Spirit. Maybe if he was surfeiting, he would not have seen
anything. Fasting sharpens our spirit-man as the flesh is
dethroned.
I want to please implore you to read more on fasting;
how to break a long fast; what to eat in the case of a partial fast;
how to set your fasting objectives and schedule your prayer times
to make the most of your fasting season. Fasting is not to boost
that you are fasting, no, but to press into answers and change of
story. There are a lot of useful resources available. Also look into
the Bibliography of this month’s edition and try to lay your hands
on the materials mentioned. I see you already emerging a force
both to the heavenlies and to the gates of hell. Shalom!

We are going to see several fasting examples in the Bible
with the view to learning how fasting works and how to engage
it. It is important we understand that fasting is an expression of
a yearning for Adonai and His pleasure. Fasting is not a means to
get something from Adonai. Elohim answers prayer whether with
fasting or not. What fasting does is to amplify your quest for the
manifestation of Elohim both in your life and for His glory.
Fasting boost faith because in fasting the flesh is mortified
boosting your spirit to believe the Word of Adonai which results
in the performance of the same. It is important to enter fasting
with the right perspective. It is not to change Adonai or force him
to do something against His Will. Fasting is essentially to mortify
you and change you from inside out. So when you are not
changed after the fast to be more humble, meek, easily forgiving
and other spiritual qualities, you have not achieved anything.
Another thought is, if your fast cannot change you, it cannot
effect change for you.
A total fast is a fast that you go without food but drink
only water. This kind of fast will ensure that your body achieves
the best form of detoxification that is possible. This is the best
way to mortify the flesh. People that were finding it difficult to
experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit were filled during total
fast. It is important to note that if you have any health issues,
you would need to check with your medical doctor to see if you
can embark on total fast. It may not be the best for people with
certain illnesses. It is advisable to begin your fasting adventure
with a 24 hour total fast, when your body has mastered a 24 hour
total fast, then do a three days total fast, do that for some time
until your body has mastered a 3-day total fast. Then move on to
seven days total fast, then to 14 days fasts, then to 21 days, then
to 40 days and so on. It is better you train your body in this way
than to just start a straight 40 days total fast.
The length of time you should fast is not a matter of
religion. You fast until you get a note of victory in your spirit that
go.
your prayer is heard. It may take you a day, three days, 21 days,
40 days or more. Until you are able to sort out all the “This Kind”
that Yahushua spoke about. Total fast require so much sensitivity
to your body during the fast. Don’t overs-spiritualize things.
Walk in Wisdom. So many people have damaged their body by
ignorance. Fasting by definition does not include drinking water.
You fast food not water. For all total fast, you must be diligent to
drink enough water daily to keep your body cleaned up. If you
are new in this thing, please seek counsel.
REMEMBER
Total or complete fast is one that you drink only water for ten
days and upwards.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word to me today.
Please guide me into this kind of fasting in wisdom in the name
PROPHETIC RELEASE
Grace is released upon you to start exercising yourself in total

I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my
mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole
weeks were fulfilled.

We are going to see several fasting examples in the Bible

with the view of learning how fasting works and how to engage
it. We are looking at Daniel’s fast today. The first thing about
Daniel’s fast is that he purposed in his heart to walk in holiness.
Until you are all out to walk in holiness taking advantage of the
nature of righteousness you already possess in HaMashiach
(Christ), you are not ready for fasting. You must decide to do
away with any form of sin and unrighteousness before you make
the decision to fast. With that decision, the fasting will help you
permanent it by helping you mortify the flesh, setting your spirit
free as it were to drive hard after Adonai. That was the starting
point of the life of Daniel (Dan.1:8).
Daniel’s fast is a partial fast in which meat, wine, and
other rich foods are avoided in favour of vegetables and water for
typically three weeks in order to be more sensitive to God.
Daniel experimented this fast for 10 days in which afterwards “at
the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter
in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the
king’s meat” (Daniel 1.15). Then, after the experiment, Daniel
was on this diet for three years of his education in Babylon. So in
Daniel’s fast, you eat only vegetables and water for at least three
weeks. It is important to know that Daniel’s fast is only an option
when you are doing a major fast. A major fast is a fast of from 21
days to 40 days and upwards. Daniel was on that kind of diet for
three years. No wonder at the end of their education, “in all
matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of
them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and
astrologers that were in all his realm.” (Daniel 1:20). This type of
diet imparts on your mentality so much.
Another major factor in Daniel’s fast is that it was a fast
that was laced with prayers, minimum three sessions daily. It is a
fast that you are highly “prayerised”. Because it is not a total fast,
you have plenty of energy to pray. You cannot be doing Daniel’s
fast and not be having a minimum of three prayer sessions daily.
In fact, to have strength to go about your duties and pray is the
reason that it is not a total fast. Daniel was working for the king
and has to attend to his duties, so he had to eat something to
have some energy to work. This is the reason it is not a total fast,
so plan to pray at least three times daily all through your fasting
season. As you focus, you shall come to visions and revelations
of the Lord as was the case with Daniel. What a sweet
communion.
REMEMBER
Daniel’s fast is a fast where you take vegetables and water only
for a minimum of 21 days.
PRAYER
for the grace to be focused and disciplined to go through this
kind of fast this year in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

Just as we have said that fasting according to our Lord

Yahushua is to handle “this Kind” situations that comes up from
time to time in our lives as we journey on earth. In Matthew
17:21, Yahushua says, “Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by
prayer and fasting.” This was exactly the kind of situation that
the Jews found themselves in the days of Queen Esther in the
Kingdom of Ahasuerus in Shushan. A man by name Haman rose
up and because of his ego that appears to be humbled by
Mordecai’s behaviour decided not just to end Mordecai but to
exterminate the Jewish race from off the face of the earth. It was
the days of weeping, mourning and wailing for the Jews all over
the kingdom of King Ahasuerus as the edit of Haman in the
signatory of the king went forth. It was a dangerous mission that
Queen Esther would have to embark on to secure the deliverance
of her people the Jews. Then she requested that before “this
kind” situation would be dared, three days of fasting and prayer
be done to seek the face of Adonai. Three days of fasting of food
and water. So many cites this example to embark on fasting
without water. Remember that this fast was just for three days.
You can go without water for three days, that won’t hurt or harm
your body. But the truth is that fasting does not imply not
drinking water. Fasting by definition is going without food in
order to concentrate on spiritual things. That this folks didn’t
drink water for three days does not impart on the seriousness of
their fast. The fact is that whether you drink water or no, does
not affect the intensity or otherwise of your fast.
Fasting is the answer to “this kind” situation. If you have
a situation that has defiled solutions. You have done all that you
know to do, would you please consider, gathering a group of
people to agree to take the matter to God in a three days fast?
Esther’s fast was a group fast. There is power in united fast. This
hear the Lord Yahushua saying that according to your faith be it
done unto you (see Matthew 9:29). Same is true with divine
direction. Many are not bothering to ask Yahweh for direction
because they don’t even believe that He will oblige them. Your
faith that Yahweh is willing to lead you is crucial to being led and
to even asking in the first place for divine direction.
kind of group fast of three days without food and water was also
replicated in Nineveh after Jonah cried against it. The whole
kingdom of Nineveh was on lockdown in a three days fast. Jonah
3:7 says, ‘And he caused it to be proclaimed and published
through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying,
Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let
them not feed, nor drink water’. Fasting in group with one
purpose has proved to be effective over the years, I encourage
you to organize one. Endeavour to join in your Church’s weekly
fast and any scheduled fast.
Yahweh did intervene in Esther’s days and the evil plot of
Haman was destroyed and the Jews had joy. Beloved, fasting
works, especially when it is done not as a religious duty but with
earnestness as the Jews and Esther did in their days. It was a
matter of life and death that there was no room for the
shenanigans of religion. Selah!
REMEMBER
Whenever you are confronted with what only Yahweh can do,
declare a fast.
CONFESSION
I do not run helter skelter in the race of life because I am
connected to a Father that can change anything and give me
laughter where evil people and Satan wants me to cry and moan.
As I fast, I change “this kind” situations in my world. Glory to the
Father!

Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that

we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him
a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our
substance. Ezra 8:21 (KJV)
Have you been in a situation that because of your faith in
Adonai and how much you have represented Him and His power
you were faced with a situation where the power of that your
God must be seen or you are put to shame. This was actually the
situation that Ezra found himself. Adonai gave Ezra favour before
Artaxerxes the king of Babylon and the king was sending him to
Judea. In the presence of the king, Ezra had boasted of the might
of Adonai to keep those that trust Him, and because of that, he
couldn’t ask the king for security escorts. So, they were left to
themselves and the wolves on the way to Judea and except
Adonai intervenes it would be impossible to reach Judea alive
with all the nations along the way and their hatred for the Jews.
What was Ezra’s response to this dilemma? He proclaimed a fast.
It is not clear how many days Ezra’s fast lasted. Ezra’s fast is
another example of group fast that yielded massive results. This
fast has also validated what Yahushua said that “this kind”
answers to only fasting and prayer.
We are seeing different situations that have confronted
people and how they have responded in fasting to secure
interventions from on high. Principles are best communicated
through examples. The principle of fasting has been validated
through numerous examples of scriptures of real threatening
situations that secured divine intervention. Your case is not any
different. You too can secure divine intervention this season. You
don’t need to cry and let the enemy see your tears. There is a
weapon at your disposal and that is fasting. Push the plates aside
for once. Sincerely, 40 days in 365 days of the year is not too
much to secure an intervention and end the looming shame. You
can intensify your prayers with a fast and the Lord is calling you
today to come up hither where you can take delivery of whatever
is your issue. We have heard testimonies of people with diverse
sicknesses that entered into fast and before they came out, that
sickness was dead and they walked free.
Ezra’s testimony was that of divine protection and
preservation and it was secured through fasting. Beloved, thus
says the Lord to you “come up hither”. Would you come? Would
you declare a fast to facilitate the performance that you desire?
The ball is in your court. Seeing we are living in the very tail end
of the last days, what other way can we be prepared for the
return of the Lord than to wait on Him in a fast? Remember that
it is to those that look for him that He would appear the second
time to. Hebrews 9:28 says, ‘So Christ was once offered to bear
the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear
the second time without sin unto salvation.’ Are you ready for
the rapture?

The Bible didn’t tell us how long David’s fast was but for
anyone that is acquainted with long fast, one will recognize that
it would not have been anything less than 40 days for fatness to
start failing from his flesh. When one finish even a partial fast of
40 days, your flesh will tell you that it has lost a lot in terms of
fatness, let alone when the fast is a total or complete fast. David
fasted so much that he become so lain that evoked mockery from
people. Psalms 109: 23-25 says, ‘23 I am gone like the shadow
when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust. 24 My
knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.
25 I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon
me they shaked their heads.’ I truly understand what David is
saying here. The author believes that David’s fast was nothing
less than 40 days long. It takes that long for the effects that he
described to be so. The author is a witness to that.
We have only known that David was a singer, worshipper
and one after Adonai’s own heart. But how many of us know that
the secret of David was probably in his life of fasting and not just
fasting but fasting so long that he presses into power with God.
No wonder, some Messianic prophecies came through him.
Beloved, you have been singing and worshipping. That is so
wonderful but Yahushua didn’t say that “this kind goes not out
except by thanksgiving and worship”. He says “this kind goes not
out but by fasting and prayer” (Matthew 17:21). This is very
crucial because this year, Adonai wants you to touch the reality of
answered prayer and some level of ease in life. How I wish, you
can defy all odds and go on a long fast, long enough to receive
from Elohim your desire. Most of use, we fast but before we are
ready to make the connection with Adonai, we have already
concluded the fast.
The way the stories were recorded in the Bible gives
some people the impression that some things happened in such
a snap. I Samuel 5:19 says, ‘And David enquired of the Lord,
saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into
mine hand? And the Lord said unto David, Go up: for I will
doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.’ Is it not so
sweet to be able to get answers from Yahweh in such a snap like
this. However, you must recognize that this is a narration and
that it may not have happened in such a snap. Seeing that David
spent such a long time in fasting, gives us a clue that some of
these records that seem as if the response from Yahweh was in
such an instant, may not actually be so. Some of these responses
were gotten from days of fasting and praying. Selah!

When I look at Apostle Paul, I am not marvelled as much

at his usefulness in the hands of the Lord Yahushua because the
way he entered the race was loaded. What I mean is this: from
the very first day he encountered the Lord, he began a three-day
dry fast. There are so many today that have been believers in
Yahushua for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 years respectively that
has not fasted for a three-day dry before. Apostle Paul’s
introduction into HaMashiach (Christ) is with three days dry fast.
There is something fasting does to your spirit-man. It establishes
you in the Word of Adonai, firmly making it possible to believe
the Word and dare anything. The daring nature of Paul was
imparted to him on the altar of fasting. In his own words later, he
said “in fastings often” (II Corinthians 11:27). Isaiah 58:8 says,
“Then shall thy light break forth as the morning,” that is you will
begin to swim in revelations and that was exactly the testimony
of Apostle Paul. Because of the abundance of fastings, there
were also abundance of revelations (II Corinthians 12:7), ‘And lest
I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the
revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the
messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above
measure.’
If you are a business person, learn to take business
decision only after you have spent enough time in fasting about
the decision. From now, never make any decision especially
those that will impact on your future and posterity without at
least three days fast to involve Adonai and know what He is
saying. Decisions on who to marry is very crucial and should be
preceded with a fast. Decisions to invest money. Decisions on
where to build or rent. Decisions that will impact on your peace
of mind should be passed through some fasting and prayer. Are
you looking for admission, before you fill your JAMB form, pass
that decision through fasting and prayer. Are you looking for a
job, take sometime out to fast and pray that the Lord will locate
you at the right place for you. These things are very important to
fulfilling your destiny. Do you notice that fasting was involved in
selecting Church leaders. In Acts 14:23, “And when they had
ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with
fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they
believed.” Decisions that impact on the future and eternity are
not supposed to be taken without fasting, not in your personal
affairs, neither in business nor in the Church.
Know the problem or challenge you want to tackle in the
fast. Define your problem. If you cannot define it, you cannot
find a solution to it. Gather information on the challenge. Take
the matter up in your fast and be open to the direction of the
Holy Spirit. Shalom!
REMEMBER
You don’t take any decision that will impact your future and
eternity without a fast.

I know what to do because the Holy Spirit is my extraordinary

Of all that the Bible would cite as an example of

someone whose prayer was effective, earnest and heart-felt with
tremendous power which was dynamic in its working, Elijah was
chosen. It is important, therefore, for us to examine the secret of
this great patriarch of the faith. And it is not even so far fetched
or a mystery, what powered his effectiveness in his relationship
with Adonai. We all are praying, so prayer is not the tool of
Prophet Elijah’s power with God. And if you look at James 5:16
from the Amplified Bible, you would see that it was not just the
prayer of Elijah that made him powerful. Prayer is good but until
prayer is earnest that is heart-felt and continued, it cannot be
dynamic in its working. What is it that makes prayer earnest? If
we can discover what made Elijah’s prayer earnest, and apply
same, we shall get the same result of power with Yahweh as Elijah
because Yahweh is not a respecter of person but in every nation,
whosoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by
Him (see Acts 10:34-35).
Our opening text was the story of Prophet Elijah after he
ate the meal that the angel brought to him, went in the strength
of that meal for 40 days and nights unto Horeb the mount of
Adonai. It is important for us to know that fasting for 40 days
and nights he was travelling to meet with Adonai as it were at
Horeb. Fasting was the secret of Elijah’s earnestness in prayer.
When you fast, your prayer transcends mere words to heart-felt
energy and if the fast continues for a long time, it begins to
produce tremendous power that is dynamic in its workings.
There is absolutely nothing that cannot be handled in such an
atmosphere. The author read of the story of a young man that
was jilted by the love of his life and the best way he resolved to
deal with the trauma was to starve himself to death. As the days
progress in his death starvation mission, he encountered
Yahushua and was saved and gloriously filled with the Holy Spirit,
after 80 days of no food, he came out a vessel of revival.
Whatever situation that drives you to fasting has given you an
opportunity to encounter destiny with Adonai.
Prophet Elijah’s fast was 40 days and nights and that
produced an earnestness in his prayer life that made tremendous
power available. Listen, you will not die, if you fast for 40 days
without food, drinking water only. Remember, as said at the
beginning of the month that fasting by definition is going
without food. Water is not part of what you should go without.
It is utter ignorance that makes anybody to do without water in
long fast. As a matter of duty when you are doing any fast that is
more than three days long, you must drink at least 1.5- 2 litres of
water daily and adjust as your body requires. Selah!
REMEMBER
Fasting produces the required earnestness to make your prayer
powerful.

I am operating under a better covenant than Elijah, therefore, I am
getting better results as I fast and pray. I am making tremendous

Scriptures lets us know that there are acceptable fasts.
This means that there are also unacceptable fasts. As a rule of
thumb, any fast that does not have impact on your flesh is not
acceptable. Any fast that does not bring about a change in you
of some sorts is not acceptable. Isaiah 58:3-5 enumerates
unacceptable fasts. Fasting to show off; fasting that increases
wickedness in you to your fellow human, fasting for strife and
debate are not acceptable and hence your voice is not heard on
high. Fasting is spiritual exercise to mortify the flesh, therefore it
should eliminate the works of the flesh drastically with every
session of your fast. Galatians 5:19-21 enumerates the works of
the flesh, ”19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are
these? Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife,
seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings,
and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told
you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit
the kingdom of God.” As you fast, these things must be dropping
from off you until you come to the unity of the faith and of the
knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the
measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ (see Ephesians
4:13).
One of the things that acceptable fast does is to loose
the bonds of wickedness. The bonds of wickedness are those
things that do not allow you and others to experience the liberty
of the Spirit. These are the activities of the wicked Satan and his
agents in your life or the lives of your loved ones and in the
spread of the Gospel. As you fast, you are to loose such
bondages of the wicked by the power of Elohim. Fasting
connects you to the power of Yahweh which enables you to loose
the bondages of the wicked in your life, family and in the spread
of the Gospel. There are bondages over cities, communities and
nations that makes the hearts of people not to be receptive to
the gospel, these wickedness is dealt with as you fast.
II Thessalonians 3:1 says, ‘Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the
word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it
is with you:’ II Corinthians 4:3-4 says, ‘3 But if our gospel be hid,
it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world
hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of
the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should
shine unto them.’ Fasting is not a time to ask for bread and
butter. It is a time of intense spiritual warfare to deal with forces
that hinder the gospel from having a free course and that veil the
eyes of people from seeing the light of the glorious Gospel.
REMEMBER
Acceptable fast looses the bonds of wickedness over you, family,
church, community and nation.
CONFESSION
I am a power broker at the place of fasting, destroying the bonds
of wickedness over my life, family and in the spread of the
Gospel. I take my place of authority as I reign and rule with

Acceptable fast undo the heavy burdens. Adonai desires
that life should be good for His creation. People should live in
health, prosperity and peace. There should not be weeping,
mourning and gnashing of teeth. This is the ideal of Adonai.
However, the presence of Satan and his agents has brought
untold heavy burdens upon people and Adonai is seeking for a
person to stand in the gap and undo these heavy burdens upon
humanity. So in fasting, you connect with power from on high as
your voice is heard on high to undo heavy burdens. You don’t
need to be a pastor or in the full time ministry to be used of God
to undo heavy burdens. As a person you should stand for
yourself and at least for your family members and ensure that no
satanic burdens remain around you. Literally, this means, let
those who work for you not be working under inhuman
conditions. Don’t allow your workers work under conditions that
make them sigh and mourn. Make life better for people around
you. There are organizations today that are literal slave centres
where people work under terrible conditions and as they work,
their groans and sighs ascend to Adonai and this breaks His
heart. Never be that kind of person that people around you are
doing their work with bitterness and terrible conditions.
Spiritually, this means undo every traces of satanic
burden you sight. Be it sickness, disease or extreme poverty,
attack that devil until he looses grip of his victims. When you see
addictions of any type, it is a heavy burden that needs to be
undone. The author heard a person say “spirit of smoking leave
me alone” and the person was still popping the smoke out. That
tells you that this person is held against his/her will. In the place
of fasting, you attack that power holding that individual captive
and undo that burden off his/her shoulders. One of the things
that are prevalent in our day is sickness and disease. It is a
burden that so many are labouring under and this is one of the
reason that Yahushua came, to undo the heavy burden of sickness
and disease. So as you fast, undo heavy burdens of sickness and
disease in the life of anyone that comes to mind.
II Corinthians 10:4-5 says, ‘(For the weapons of our
warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling
down of strong holds?) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every
high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and
bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ?’
The arsenal under our control is heavy and can undo any kind of
heavy burden. You can see that the person that is not fasting is
doing himself/herself great disservice. Fasting which implies
praying too is your opportunity to take your place of authority
both for you and the people in your world. Sleeping giant wake
up!

All these things we are enumerating are the things that
Adonai said are the fast He has chosen. That means for your fast
to be acceptable to Him, you must strive to accomplish these in
your fast. Adonai desires that no one lives under oppression of
any kind. There are human being oppression to his/her fellow.
When the author was leading a Teens’ Church, there was a case of
a woman that would put her kitchen knife on fire and when it is
hot, she uses it to beat the small girl that she was living with.
When that issue came up, if this little girl remove her cloth, you
would instantly start weeping, it was an eyesore. We
immediately activated that girl leaving that house same day and
locked up the woman in question. A delegation was sent to
return the girl to her people. That is human being oppression and
wickedness to his/her fellow. Just remembering that incident
now, tears still runs down my cheeks freely. It was something I
have never seen before. When they say that some human beings
are beast, I saw it first hand in that case. This was a woman that
comes to church that can perpetrate that kind of oppression what
would those that don’t even hear the Word of Adonai do?
There are also spiritual oppressions that people labour
under. This one can even be worse than physical oppression.
Sickness and disease is an oppression of the devil. Delayed
expectation some times can be oppression of the devil.
Prolonged state of being unmarried is satanic oppression.
Extreme poverty in-spite of working hard is oppression of the
devil. The list is almost inexhaustible. Whenever you see what
negates the Word of God in your life or in the lives of others, you
are looking at the result of oppression. In Luke 13:16, Yahushua
says “And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham,
whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from
this bond on the sabbath day?” You see that this woman’s
affliction is a direct oppression of Satan. In Acts 10:38, we saw
‘How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and
with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that
were oppressed of the devil? for God was with him.’ This is the
life that we are called to live in Yahushua, to let the oppressed go
free. In fasting, we subdue our carnal nature in order to connect
to the power of Adonai to send the devil packing in our affairs
and in that of the people in our world.
There is what Adonai instituted in Leviticus 25 that is
called the Jubilee. It is a year of release. At this Jubilee everyone
is released and free to start life. Lands are released, properties
are released and slaves are released. This is the will of Adonai
that no one is under any form of oppression and He has called
you to make it happen on the altar of fasting and prayer. Would
you oblige Him?
REMEMBER
Acceptable fast is releasing those that are oppressed.
CONFESSION
I know who I am, an heir of Yahweh, a joint-heir with Yahushua.
Just as my Father hates oppression, I also hate it with passion. I

Isaiah 58.6 [KJV]
One of the things we connect to at the place of fasting is
the anointing and the anointing is for breaking every yoke.
Isaiah 10:27 says, ‘And it shall come to pass in that day, that his
burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke
from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the
anointing.’ John 12:24 says ‘Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a
corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if
it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.’ In fasting, the flesh dies. That
is why you must schedule a major fast this season. All these 6-6
wont help you much. Even three days dry is not enough. We are
talking about 21 days to 40 days fast. This is the fast that
mortifies the flesh and brings you into the anointing of the Holy
Spirit. You need this anointing to break every yoke in your life
and in the lives of the people in your world. You need this
anointing to reign and rule in your business/career. Believers are
lazy to go up and take their inheritance. No wonder, occultists
are in power in many realms because they are ready to pay the
price that the devil asks them to pay and most times it would
even be fasting for days just to acquire power to dominate in
their field. And you a believer is eating your destiny away day in
day out.
You need the anointing to stop the devil in his tracks.
Yahushua told his disciples, ‘And, behold, I send the promise of my
Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be
endued with power from on high.’ (Luke 24:49). But tarry.
Beloved, there is a tarrying before endowment from on high is
possible. That tarrying is in fasting. It is almost impossible to see
the endowment of power if you refuse to tarry in fasting. In
almost all generations, those that ever saw the endowment of
power are people of fasting. This is the year that Adonai has
determined that you will see the manifestation of the power of
our Lord Yahushua HaMashiach in your life, but you have to tarry.
And as you tarry, begin to break every yoke. Whatever binds
and restricts is billed for destruction. Destroy the yokes in your
it is Yahweh's will to lead you to where the pastures are green.
He is committed to leading you to where your profiting lies (see
Isaiah. 48:17), but you must be a committed follower. I believe
that your commitment to following divine direction will skyrocket
after knowing what it has to offer you.

it is survival of the fittest. If you are a spiritual weaklings, you will
even lose the one that is in your hands now to the wickedness of
the devil. But you need to come to that point of power with
Yahweh. May this season provoke you and spur you to that point
of power with Adonai. Shalom!

bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou
seest the naked, that thou cover him;
Isaiah 58:7 (KJV)
This is one major difference between scriptural fast and
religious fast. When it is just religious, it lacks human
compassion but Adonai expects us to remember the poor and
downtrodden when we fast. This is because the heart of Elohim
is constantly yearning to address the inequality that the
wickedness of both humans and the devil created to foster
poverty on people and you are His extension to reaching these
poor ones. For your fast to be acceptable, it has to incorporate
the welfare of the poor. Adonai never created anyone poor.
People become poor because of poor choices and the wickedness
of other humans and the devil. Most people are poor because of
circumstances that is totally out of their control and their
situation displeases Elohim. Your prayers are fast-tracked if you
can open up your bowels to reach out to the poor. Notice these
aspects that the Word lists: feeding the poor, providing shelter
and clothing. No matter how small it is, plan to provide food to
the poor. In your own level, try to see how you can support
struggling families to pay for their accommodation. Instead of
burning your used cloths, try dry-cleaning them and package for
people you consider yourself better than and these people are
not hard to find in your present locality.
Psalms 41:1-3 is one of the moving scriptures about
outreach to the poor and its attendant benefits to you. “1 Blessed
is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of
trouble. 2 The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he
shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him
unto the will of his enemies. 3 The Lord will strengthen him upon
the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.”
Your deliverance in time of trouble is tied to your attitude
towards the poor. Your preservation and safety is a function of
your outreach to the poor. You enjoy blessing upon the earth
that labour can never procure to you just for considering the
poor. Adonai ensures that your enemies are helpless before you.
They will watch you prosper but can’t do you anything. You
enjoy supernatural order of strength in your body and your
health is preserved. Even if your health is attacked, you are
recovered by Adonai Himself. The poor is truly our opportunity
to procure favour with Adonai and it is most important during
fasting to take advantage of this channel of blessing to make
your fast acceptable.
Whatever you do to the poor ensures that you and your
generations will never be in that poor position. When you reach
out to the poor, you terminate any such agenda of Satan from
coming near you and your generations. Go ahead and remember
the poor today.
REMEMBER
Your outreach to the poor makes your voice to be heard on high.
CONFESSION
I am born at such a time as this to be the hand of Elohim to reach
out to the poor. It is with great delight that I flow with resources
to the poor. Glory be Yahweh!

thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

Fasting exposes one to see the vanity of this world and

its possessions. It is easy to drift into a life of selfishness where
nobody but you and yourself matters. You find that most times
people are good to all but their own relations. They give to
outsiders but when they get home, it is a different ball game. No
wonder, Elohim is emphasizing that you are not to hide yourself
from your own flesh. When you see needs in your family, don’t
hide and pretend as though you are not seeing it. I Timothy 5:8
says, ‘But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of
his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an
infidel.’ This is a very serious issue. Don’t turn your back on your
own flesh and blood. Show mercy to your relations and ensure
that they are not crying out to God for needs that you can meet.
Know that Adonai placed you in their lives for you to be His
extension to reaching them. That starts with ensuring that they
have heard the gospel enough to make a decision whether to
accept or reject the offer of salvation that Yahushua brought. So
ensure that their spiritual needs are met. This is your first
obligation as a believer. Acts 16:31 (NET) says, ‘They replied,
"Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your
household."’ If you are saved, the next obligation for you is to
ensure that your household comes to the saving knowledge of
the Lord Yahushua.
Secondly, Adonai placed you into their lives to ensure
that their physical needs are met according to your grace and
capacity per time. So, please don’t hide yourself from your flesh
and blood. This starts with your relations and family and extends
to the larger body of Yahushua. You are the answer to the
prayers of your people and whenever what is needed is within
your means then don’t allow such to still remain a prayer request.
Do you now see that Adonai is very mindful of the welfare of
humanity. You can see that all that makes fasting acceptable
before Him all concern the welfare of humanity. See what Mark
11:25 says, ‘And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought
against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive
you your trespasses.’ That is your fasting will be a waste of time
and exercise in futility if you are not in good terms in your
relationships. You must live a life of forgiveness. All these are
requirements for acceptable fasting.
It is pertinent to conclude this day with this charge: “17
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not
highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God,
who giveth us richly all things to enjoy? 18 That they do good,
that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to
communicate? 19 Laying up in store for themselves a good
foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on
eternal life.” (I Timothy 6:17-19).
REMEMBER
Adonai expects you to be His hands to your family and relations.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for your word to me today. I ask for the
grace to always be there for my flesh and blood according to the
capacity you have given me per time in the name of Yahushua
HaMashiach Amen!
PROPHETIC RELEASE
As this month ends tomorrow, I decree that there shall be no
carry-over of January’s blessings to February. I decree that within
48 hours that you enter practically into all that the Lord has
released for you this month. As the month begins to close, I
decree that your fasting life will explode to new dimensions
leading to the harvest of increase, abundance, advantage of the
Holy Spirit, favour and glory from now in the name of Yahushua
HaMashiach Amen!

thanksgiving;

Thanksgiving is a universal application if there is going to
be a response from Yahweh. In the first place, you cannot enter
into Yahweh’s presence without thanksgiving. Psalms 100:4 says,
‘Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with
praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.’ No matter the
urgency of your case, you cannot secure attention until you come
into Yahweh's presence and you cannot be admitted into that
hollowed court without coming with an overflow of thanksgiving.
This is the protocol of the Kingdom and our King Father. Learn
to overflow with thanksgiving, it turns your heavenly Father on at
your presence. And listen, until you thank Yahweh for the last,
you do not qualify for the next. Until you thank Adonai for the
seen, you cannot receive the coming or expected. Thanksgiving
is one of the prayer protocols and living protocol in this kingdom.
You must learn and perfect that act and make it your lifestyle.
Thanksgiving is acknowledging that it is not your fasting
that brought you results that you are seeing. Thanksgiving is
saying to Yahweh that you are nothing but a beneficiary of His
love and mercy and that not for anything that you have done, not
even for fasting. You must understand that fasting is not what
you are doing for Yahweh, no, a thousand times no! In all these
processes of gaining weight spiritually, what you do that profits
Yahweh is your thanksgiving and praise, all others benefit you.
So if you do all and you starve Yahweh of thanksgiving and
praise, then you shall be seen as wicked and selfish. The fasting
you are doing is for your benefit, the prayer you are doing is for
your benefit, the only one that will benefit the Lord which is your
thanksgiving and praise, you refuse to give Him, who are you
then? If there is anything that will make your fasting fruitless is a
fasting that is devoid of plenty thanksgiving and praise to
Yahweh. If you are stingy with your thanksgiving and praise, you
shall surely reap what you sow. The heavens will also show you
the definition of stinginess.
Do you know that if you just list out your fasting
expectations and all you say during your prayers is just THANK
YOU LORD FOR YOUR FAITHFULNESS all through your fasting.
Before the days of your fasting are ended, everything in your list
would have turned to testimonies. There is power in
thanksgiving and praise. Remember, that we are not heard by
plenty speech, so let your prayer be much of praise and
thanksgiving during your fast and you shall see speedy answers.
REMEMBER
Thanksgiving and praise facilitates speedy divine intervention
and results.
THANKSGIVING
Dear Father, we are not worthy of the least of Your mercies. What
shall we say for bringing us into this great year and like play you
have already taken us through the first month, no loss, no tears,
we saw goodness and mercies, abundance of blessings in front
and at the back. Thank You for the salvation of my soul. Thank
You for the continuous flow of Your Word on this platform.
Thank You for Your preservation, provision and supplies. Thank
You for abundance of Your Word on fasting and prayer this
month. To You alone be all the glory in the Name of Yahushua
HaMashiach Amen!

Pastor Prince started his faith journey at age five when he gave his life to
Yahushua HaMashiach in the children church of Assemblies of God Church Akaelu
Lodu Imenyi. But in 1988 at age nine, he was baptised with the Holy Ghost and
Fire during the long vacation in Enugu. This fire implanted amongst many other
things the passion to tell people about the Lord Yahushua. This was what he
started doing when he came back from that long vacation, gathering his age
mates and preaching to them with his Gideon's New Testament Bible. At about
seventeen he and others around him knew of a call upon His life to Pastor but for
one reason or another he had developed a dislike for being a pastor. So, instead
of going to Bible School as encouraged by some of his mates, he went to Enugu
and later got admission to study Accountancy at the prestigious University of
Nigeria Enugu Campus (UNEC) where he obtained a B.Sc. in Accountancy. After
graduation instead of pursuing his Accountancy career, he developed a passion
for computers and went into Telecommunications Engineering. He obtained
training and practicals from one leading industry specialist. He also expanded
into software and web development which led him to join Andela and Google
Learning Bootcamps. He became an Android developer with advanced knowledge
in many development languages. He had worked with high profile industry
leaders in technology and health. All these years, he was still burning for the
Lord. Married with three great boys. But in 2017 it became obvious that he
cannot run any further from the call he was aware of at seventeen. For twenty
years, he had tried to convince Yahweh to change His mind but without success.
He resigned from work and went to Bible Seminary. That marked his saying ”Yes
Lord!” to the call. He came to the Ministry without any intention to write or
author any material. He only came to answer the call as he knew it but in January
2020, the Holy Ghost birthed this devotional as He was waiting on the Lord in a
forty-one day fast. We believe that you coming in contact with this material will
deliver a testimony into your hands.
Pastor Prince Chimaobim Nwabuikwu is a dynamic anointed minister of the
gospel called to make all people see what is the fellowship of the mystery of
Yahweh which is HaMashiach in you, the Hope of a glorified life both in time and
eternity.
His ministry is in preaching, teaching, healing, deliverance and mentoring
