FIRST DAY of SCHOOL - Today, Aug. 22nd School Hours for Students: 7:55am 2:10pm High school students are to report to the gym upon arriving on campus Monday morning for an assembly. Students will be given instructions & schedules at the assembly. Middle school students are to report to the middle school building & look for their name on the classroom doors. Elementary students are to report to the cafeteria upon arriving to school. Students that are car riders are to be dropped off on the elementary side or middle/high side . . .

TEACHER/STAFF Info ** TEACHERS HOT SEAT COUNTS: Be sure to get the Hot Seat count sheets from your mailbox first thing Monday morning. You will need to write down the number of students present in your class each period (not how many on the roll). There will be a sheet for the first 10 days of school. Each day, as soon as you complete the Hot Seat count for your 6th period class, either send it to Karen Smiths office (room 1223) or put it in her mailbox in the front office. Mrs. Marks is to be notified if forms are not turned in. If you have any questions contact Karen Smith at ext. 2223. _______________________________________________________________________

Miscellaneous
**The Nest After School Program will start on Mon, Aug. 29th. All parents interested in
enrolling their children in the Nest must plan to attend a short parent meeting at 6:00pm, Aug. 25th, at either the Learning Center or Carrabelle Municipal Complex sites.

The two locations for The Nest will be in Eastpoint at the District School Board complex (the old Brown Elementary School) & in Carrabelle at the City Municipal Complex (the old Carrabelle School). Students will be transported from FCS to the sites by bus.

The after school program is free to all Franklin County students in grades PreK-8. Applications are available at the Franklin County Learning Center, FCS, & Carrabelle Municipal Complex, and can be downloaded from the Nests Website. www.franklincountynest.org For more information, contact Franklin County School interim site director for Eastpoint, Louise Chipman, at 670-2820 or Carrabelle site director Joy Shiver at 697-2177

GED CLASSES @ Franklin County School


FALL CLASS DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON! The next GED Test will be given Sept. 26 & 27 at the Franklin County School library at 6:00pm. To register for the test contact Linda Bradley during GED classes or Maxine Creamer @ 670-4481.
