    M/s.NCCL was sent the original design drawing for Tondiarpet Station ES-02 on March 20, 2019 but did not start structural works until November 2019 due to a lack of manpower. M/s.NCCL later proposed design changes in November 2019 but did not indicate issues with the linking bridge foundation. M/s.CMRL instructed M/s.NCCL since January 2020 to complete the foundation works but no laborers were deployed nor were any design issues raised. M/s.CMRL views any further delays as baseless and has instructed M/s.NCCL to immediately start the foundation works.

    With reference to the trailing mail, we would like to bring to your notice that Tondiarpet Station

    ES-02 GFC drawing No: DDC101-DD-STO-ST-DW-54039(A2) dt: 20/03/2019 was sent to M/s.NCCL.
    With respect to the same, it is to be noted that due to non-availability of man power the Structural works
    were started by Nov’2019 only. Further, you had indicated hindrance in Pump Room external wall and
    proposed to change the design on 17/11/2019. In the proposal, no indication regarding this linking bridge
    foundation was provided by M/s.NCCL.

    Based on your proposal, M/s.SYSTRA had changed the design and sent the revised GFC
    Drawing No: DDC101-DD-STO-ST-DW-54039(A3) dt: 25/11/2019. In spite of repeated instruction
    provided by M/s.CMRL to you since Jan 2020 (before lock down) to complete the foundation of linking
    bridge area, neither any labors were deployed nor were design hindrances indicated by M/s.NCCL.
    During our Weekly Site visit had on 07/07/2020, this issue of foundation was raised and till date no action
    against the same was taken.

    We understand that the issues are are baseless and are raised purposely. Therefore, Further delays
    w.r.t Design issues or any other issues shall not be accepted in Entry Structure-02 foundation and you are
    instructed to start the works with immediate effect.
