I. Rationale:

Integrating Dramatization with background music in teaching Reading Text as

Connected Discourse. This is used in order to achieve mastery of the learners on the
3 learning competencies set for the lesson by the teacher.

II. Brief Description of Best Practice:

In order for the LC to be carried out on Reading Text as Connected

Discourse. LC: Describes a written text as connected discourse
(EN11/12RWS-IIIa-1). For the group activity, Dramatization was used, each
group was provided a story to narrate, act it out with background music to
accomplish.

III. Impact:

The integration of Role Playing in teaching Reading Text as Connected

Discourse, elicit student’s interest and enthusiasm about the lesson. This can
be observed on how they collaborate with their groupmates while enjoying
their activity. It was also evident that the learning outcome were enhance with
the use of authentic Assessment on the beginning, during the delivery of the
lesson and after the discussion.
