1. Warnings & Tips 4. Component Description
Configuration of the suction system is shown in Fig 1. The user can choose the
YF-2XY Series Suction Kits are medical devices. According to the government

YF-2XY Series Suction Kits (hereinafter referred as Suction Kit) is a clinical

 5.2.4 Connection via Suction Tubing: In the event of connecting suction kit indirectly
to the vacuum terminal, soft hose (suction tubing) can be used to connect the
suction regulator and the vacuum terminal.
5.2.5 According to Fig 1., use the suction tubing(Φ8 or Φ6) to connect the suction
regulator and the supporting accessories.
5.3 Inspection after assembly:
5.3.1 Check the assembly of the supporting accessories according to Fig 1. The
suction regulator and suction jar should be installed and placed in upright
position, with the angular error less than + 10 degree. Otherwise, the functioning
of suction trap and suction jar shall be affected.
5.3.2 Block the outlet of the suction regulator and carry out function tests in the three
working modes according to Section 7. Check the sealing condition of all joints.
In case of problems, refer to Section 9.
5.4 Disassembly: Disassemble the device in reverse order ofassembly.
6.3 Pre-use inspection
6.3.1 The suction regulator should be used only for the intended use as described in
the section 2. The device should be equipped with suction tip provided by the
medical institutions. Select the appropriate working mode and set the desired
output vacuum pressure based on the actual clinical requirement.
6.3.2 Before using, check if the device is in good working condition according to section
5 and Fig 1., and make sure that the suction regulator is correctly attached to the
vacuum system.
Note: Place the selector switch in “off” position and turn the adjustment
knob counterclockwise to the bottom before connecting the suction
regulator to the vacuum source. Otherwise, the safety and health of
the patient and operator shall be endangered.
6.3.3 Function test

6.5 Vacuum Regulation specifications of the medical institutions.

6.5.1 “On” Mode: After setting the vacuum pressure, turn the switch to the “Run”
Mode, the suction regulator shall operate at the set value and negative
pressure shall be delivered through the outlet. To observe the vacuum pressure
during the operation, just place the switch in the “set” mode or block the suction
tubing.
6.5.2 “Off” Mode: Place the switch in “off” mode position to stop the suction. Eliminate
the residue vacuum in suction jar and suction trap by supplying air through the
air compensating orifice. Place the switch in the “off” position to shut down the
suction regulator immediately or terminate the vacuum suction after use.
Note: After use, place the selector switch in “off” position, turn the
adjustment knob counterclockwise to the bottom and place the
suction regulator properly to prevent damage.
6.6.1 Sterilization of the suction trap
Disassemble and clean the body, cover, sealing seat, ball float of the suction trap
(see Fig 3.), and then place the parts in the disinfectant. After that, rinse with
sterile water and let them dry.
6.6.2 Sterilization of the suction jar
Remove the suction jar from the suction regulator, disassemble and clean all the
parts of the suction jar, then sterilize them.
6.6.3 Connect the suction regulator (to be cleaned) with a working suction regulator to
create a cleaning and sterilizing system (see Fig 4.). Attach the working suction
kit to the vacuum system, and set a output pressure, then clean and sterilize the
suction regulator(to be cleaned) with the sterilant and rinse with sterile water.
After sterilizing, dry it in a vacuum environment.
6.6.4 After sterilizing, store all parts in well-ventilated environment.
