*CAUTION
1) lt is important that the batteries are inserted
with correct polarities (+; -). otherwise,
the flash unit will not work and the
batteries may leak, causing damage.

used for one week or more.

T h e f l a s h u n i t h a s a " H o t S h o e " b a s ea n d c a n
be attached directly to a camera having a flash
accessory"Hot Shoe" contact, which will
hold the flash unit and provide the electrical
connection between camera and flash when
the locking nut is tightened.
TCAUTION
When mounting the flash unit on or detaching
from the Camera always make sure the power is
OFF or the Camera may be damaged

MAT|C OPERATION (Fig. 9)
The flash unit has two automatic operation
settings designated by the colors red and blue'
The shooting distance depends on the zoom
position of the flash head. The red setting is for
strooting at distanqesof up to 20 feet {6 meters)

When using the zoom head your automatic
operating distancescan be increased.For infor-

Using the Y.ridetable:
1) By sliding the top scale in the exposure table,
set the scale to the position corresponding to
the ASA/DIN rating of the film in the camera'

2l By sliding the bottom scale, set the switch to
the focal length of camera lens (28, 35, 50
or 85mm).
3 ) Set switch (4) on the front of the flash body
to the red or blue Position.
4l Set the aperture of the camera to the corres-
ponding F stop indicated by the blue or red
arrows on the guide table. lf flash photos are
then taken within the indicated distance
(corresponding to the red or blue lines above
the meters/feet scale) correct exposures wi ll
be obtained in almost every situation.

1) The range of automatic operation does not

vary with sPeed (ASAI: You need onlY
change the F stop settlng.
2) Auto Check Lamp (Fig. 10)
The auto check lamp will glow for a few
moments after an exposure is made. This
shoran that the automatic computer cilcuitry
is operating and that the exposure is correct.
lf the check lamp does not glow the auto-
matic range has been exceeded. When this
happens and the flash gun is set on the
bluefposition, switch to. the ired,mark, if
the check light still does not glow,reduce
the distance to the subiect or readjust the

 NOTES ON AUTOMATIC OPERATION
1) When shooting outdoors in day light, intense
illumination may cause the computer and
the auto check lamp to malfunction, in
such casesit may be advisable to use manual
setting.
2l After the Ready Light glows always wait for
a few seconds before making an exposure,
as sometimes the flash gun may not be fully
charged.

be applied to photography which involves
"bouncing" the light off a ceiling or other
reflective surfaces to obtain soft illumination.
The flash head has variable positions from 0o to
90o with click stops at every 150.
