Rules and Regulations: Badminton World Federation

GROUND RULES:
1. Match consists of the best of three (3) games of 21 points
2. At 20-all the player which first gain a 2-point lead will win the game, in case of 29-all, the score with
30th point wins or sudden death applies.
3. A match must include two rest periods. These are a 60-second rest after interval and a 3-minute
rest in every game.
4. A 5-minute defaulting time will be given upon after announcement of the game call. Players who
failed to appear after 5 minutes automatically lose the match.
5. The Single Elimination Tournament or Knock-out system shall be used in this 2023 CCAAM
6. Players shall be wearing their district color/uniform for representation purposes and must follow
approriate dress code to avoid injury.
7. The “No shuttlecock, No Play”and “”No Coach, No Play “ will strictly be observed.
8. Coaches shall submit their final district line up of players during solidarity meeting.
9. Badminton committee will strictly observe rules & regulation of athleles documents given by the
SDO sports authority. If player is found lacking of document, he/she shall play provided a note duly
signed by the SDO sports committee is secured by the coach prior to the match.
10. As the tournament commence, specific match schedule will not be observed, instead a continues
match shall be called by the Badminton committee. Therefore, district delegates shall stay in the
playing venue from 7 am to 5 pm.
11. Each delegate shall avoid shouting/loud cheering while courts are on play to avoid confusion
among players and officiating officials.
12. Coaches shall impose discipline among its athletes to ensure organization and smooth flow of the
matches and must apply the “Clean as You Go “policy.
13. Champion per category for this badminton tournament shall represent to the EVRAA. In case of
disqualification players next in rank shall be picked. Champion in doubles will be the basis for the
selection of coaches in both elementary and secondary.
14. All players and coaches shall be present wearing their district color/uniform during the closing
ceremony.
15. Any protest shall be address by the tournament committee during the whole duration of the
tournament.
16. Results from this 2023 Badminton tournament are final and irrevocable.

I hereby agree to abide by the above-mentioned ground rules as provided in this 2023
Badminton Tournment. I understand that any violation of the aforesaid ground rules may result
in disqualification or disciplinary action may be taken.
