SEMINAR BASIC FORMATS GUIDELNES

Paper: Good quality, white, unlined, non-punched, A4 (8.5” X 11”) paper.
Number of Copies: The student is expected to submit 3 spiral bounded copies to the supervisor.
Margins: Every page of the report must be;
Top ==== 1.3” Bottom === 1.1” Left === 1.3” Right === 1.1”
Spacing: The whole seminar report text must be double spaced, while the abstract, dedication
and acknowledgment must be singly spaced. The text must be printed on one side of the paper.
Pagination: Place the number at the bottom center of the paper within the margin at the bottom.
Preliminary pages must be numbered using Roman numerals while all the other pages using
Arabic numerals.
Font Size: The font size for the text shall be 12pt, however 10pt will be accepted for tables
where necessary. Time New Roman is recommended.
Italics must be used for quotations and words in foreign language.
Paragraph: All paragraph should be indented.

Tile
The title provides a basic introduction to your report. It should be a meaningful
description of your manuscript, and include the key words that can be used by modern retrieval
systems.
Abstract
An abstract of not more than 150 words is required. It is to be succinct description of
your work and should organized in the following order;
i. Introduction
ii. Aim
iii. Application
iv. Conclusion

Dedication is to offer the report to someone/organization by mentioning the name as a
sign of thanks and/or respect, while the acknowledgement should be prepared by your wordings,
showing your gratitude towards the supervisor, H.O.D, department, staffs, relatives, friends etc..
Table of Contents
This is required, and be sure to include all main divisions and subdivisions within your
text and double space.
List of Illustrations or List of Figures
Follow the format in your Table of contents.
Text
You and your supervisor determine the quality and contents of your text.
