Relying on God’s promises

It is important for children to learn to put their faith in what God has said in His
Word--in other words, to live by faith (see Romans 10:17). While it may be a
challenge to ensure that every child has access to the Bible, a (very) short version
can be made up with a single sheet of paper.

This compilation of verses covers various life situations: on the one side of the
page is a prayer or exhortation; on the other, a promise related to the prayer. This
teaches children to pray simple, specific prayers. It aslo helps them to discover how
practical the Bible is and how willing God is help us in every situation.

What you will need:

 A double sided printout of page 3-4 (printed back-to-back)
 Optional - A strip of card for the cover (page 5 printed on cardstock)
 Scissors
 A stapler
 Glue (glue stick or craft glue)

Instructions
 Cut the page into strips along the dotted lines. Separate the four pages on
each strip. There are 16 small pages, which include the front and back cover.
 Arrange the small pages with the printed staple facing up. The top page is the
title page and the bottom page is the blank page. The content can be placed in
any order.
 Staple the booklet as indicated on page 2.
 The booklet can be bound with a cover. Cut out the cover (on page 5) and place a
strip of glue down the middle as shown. Fold the cover around the spine of the
booklet. Firmly press on the glued area and allow the glue to dry.
