ORAL COMMUNICATION IN CONTEXT
GRADE 11

Content Standard

The learners recognize that communicative competence requires understanding of speech


context, speech style, speech act and communicative strategy.

Performance Standard

The learners demonstrate effective use of communicative strategy in a variety of speech


situations.

Lesson Objectives:

At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:

a. Differentiate Public and Mass Communication;


b. Appreciate the importance of Public and Mass Communication by citing a clear-real-life
personal experiences; and
c. Perform an actual scenario showing Mass and Public Communication.
