Weekly – Flog (Food Blog 😂 )

Hey Folks! The Visionific Organization presents flog!! We


will be sharing some short, sweet and delicious recipes
which will be super easy and you can pull them off easily, it
may also become your hobby!
Chocolate Mug Cake Recipe

This Recipe is a personal favorite and is also a great start to


weekly flogs. They are super easy to make in case you are bored,
or just want to hone your cooking skills. This recipe requires
basic baking items otherwise I’ll always write a handier item!
Recipe

1. Refined/Wheat Flour – 3 Tbsp.


2. Sugar (Can be crystallized, refined or powdered) – 2 tbsp.
3. Cocoa Powder – 2 tbsp.
4. Baking Powder (Not soda XD) – ¼ tsp.
5. Milk (Any type can be used!) – 3 tbsp.
6. Vanilla Essence (Not necessary but adds great essence!) –
½ tsp
7. Refined Oil (only or coconut) – 2 tbsp.
8. A cup (duh!)
9. Choco chip/ chocolate, Powdered sugar and hot milk
(totally optional)
Steps -

1. Start by taking a cup and mixing all the dry ingredients


namely – Flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and
salt.
2. Once a dry mixture is prepared, add all the wet
ingredients – Vanilla Essence, Oil, Milk.
3. The batter should be of ribbon consistency as shown. We
are not professionals so mistakes tend to happen, so if
your batter is too liquid, add the flour and if your batter is
too thick, add the milk (according to your estimation).
4. Put it in the microwave and set the timer for one minute.
Mine usually take 45-50 seconds so keep checking!
5. If you don’t have a microwave you can put it in an oven or
use a deep container, put it on flame and place the mug in
it and keep checking the mug. Any of the three methods
can be used but microwave one is the best.
6. In addition, you can make the recipe better. These are my
add-ins to the recipe that
it best! After your cake is
done, take 3 tsp of hot
milk with same amount
of chocolate in any form.
Next, mix while the milk
to hot and pour the syrup in the mug. For more sweetness
and decoration purpose, you can sift powdered sugar over
the mug.
Tips

1. You can use two spoons, one of medium size and other the small
one, and then you can measure tbsp. by medium sized spoon
and tsp. by small sized spoon. Estimation in a recipe works
(sometimes)
2. You should see no lumps (unmixed bubbles) while mixing, they
cause a disturbance in baking.
3. After baking the mug cake, use any pointed things like
toothpick or knife and insert it in the cake. If there are no
residues in the knife/ toothpick after you take it out, your cake is
cooked, if there is any sort of batter/liquid stuck to it, bake the
cake a little more.
