Present the objective and content at the beginning of your lesson. Then in “My way”
stage, ask your students to set their own goal.

OBJECTIVE: To identify general information from a text like reviews,


opinion articles, and emails related to TV shows and festivals, using the reading strategies
highlighting and predicting, in order to answer specific reading comprehension questions.

I. GET THE PARTY STARTED

Organize the students in pairs. They have to talk about what free time activities
students prefer and then describe those activities.

2. FLASH BACK
Ask your students to work on the vocabulary of unit 8 related
to TV shows. They have to draw it on their pictionary or notebook.

B. After explaining them how they have to face reading exams (MOVERS and Prueba Saber) ask your
students to solve individually the exercises provided in the pupils’ book page 112 (MOVERS and Prueba
Saber). Make sure you handle the class time in this way.

Students will work in pairs. Remind them how visualizing and making predictions strategies
work, and also highlighting main ideas and details to support the answers. Then, they will have
30 minutes in order to work on the reading from unit 8, Activity book page 85, all the exercises.

Co-evaluation
Ask your students to work in pairs, in order to compare their answers and the evidence they
have to support them (Unit 8, Pupils’ book page100). The couple is going to evaluate the
other pair’s work while the teacher asks some students which the correct answers are, trying to ask each group
the different exercises worked in class.

Self-evaluation
Ask some students to remind clue information when using vocabulary about other countries culture. Then read
and solve the activities about Australia

Make sure, all

• Students will gather in groups. Explain to the children that they are going to listen to a
boy and a girl talking about tips for making a great video.
Ask kids for their ideas. Read out the information. They will have 30 minutes in order to
work on the listening of unit 8.

• Students will work in pairs. Remind them how to identify the specific information in a conversation
applying the strategies learnt in class to support the answers. Then, explain kids that they are going to
listen to some tips for making group decisions. Ask kids their own ideas. Read out the information and
allow children to write the missing information. They will have 30 minutes in order to work on the listening
of unit 9.

Teacher choose flashcards without showing the pictures Describe a TV program, e.g. I like
watching this program. It is interesting. I learnt a lot about animals and different

When the students identify the programmes, teacher gives them the names in english and then stick the

A. What did you do yesterday? Teacher prompt kids individually to say what they did
yesterday. The students work on their own to write the sentences. The students read
out their sentences to a Talk partner. Ask the students to report to the class if they
were in the same place as their Talk Partner yesterday.
