Quarter 3 – Module 1: IDENTIFY TOOLS, UTENSILS AND EQUIPMENT USED IN
PREPARING SANDWICHES

Every tool is specifically designed for a particular task, and using the correct
tool will also minimize the amount of effort required to get the job done right without
causing damage to either the equipment or the surface being worked on.
Check the tools or equipment before you use them, and also remember that
tools should always be put away when not in use or must be store in proper place
after cleaning them.

Mrs. Vina Lumaque is preparing a snack called clubhouse sandwich, a multi-
layer bread filled in with various ingredients. After gathering all the ingredients, she
called her eldest daughter Trina to help her assembling the sandwich. Trina just
used whatever knife available they had in the kitchen to slice the sandwich. Mrs Vina
and Trina, then went on to the dining area to have their snack with the other
members of the family but it seems that the children were quite unhappy with the
