To help our dear pupils to read, count and write properly, I conducted remedial
reading in our remediation project dated April 11,2022-April 13,2022.
I handled 3 pupils in this project. They are Quinn, Eve and Jake Mori an outgoing
grade 5 pupil.
As we had planned, we used google meet as our learning hub because it is much
wider and more comfortable for us to study face to face. But because of the increasing
number of our covid cases, our local government declared lockdown and children should
not allowed to go outside. Because of this, we continue our remedial reading through
google meet. Every sessions that we had, my pupils show improvement specially Quinn .
He can read now read short story with comprehension and can read simple English words
and sentences. Eve also shows some improvement. He can now identify letters and their
sound amd can read simple words and phrases. Jake Mori also improves a lot. He can now
read words phrases and short stories. As our reading remediation ends, I can say that this
program is very helpful especially to our pupils and parents as well. I, being a volunteer
teacher felt an immeasurable joy because in my own little way, I helped some of our
students especially tose who really needs it.
