Research was made to present the effectiveness of hybrid learning on students’ academic
achievements by analyzing 45 research findings gathered from 44 quantitative studies
published between 2010 and 2020. Using the Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA) program,
results showed that the effect of hybrid learning on students’ achievement is statistically higher
(d = 1.032) in the random-effects model.

To determine the significant predictors of blended learning effectiveness with students’ design
features as independent variables and learning outcomes as dependent variables. 238
respondents were surveyed to obtain data on students’ design features and learning outcomes.
The final semester evaluation results were used as a measure for performance as an outcome.
Multiple regression analysis results showed that hybrid learning design features predicted
student satisfaction as an outcome.

The benefits behind hybrid learning is it provides face to face interaction with the convenience
and flexibility of online assignments and discussion. The purpose of this paper is to compare
blended learning to online and traditional learning of their advantages and disadvantages. The
current data is varied, with a majority of studies showing increased achievement in the blended
learning environment than traditional classroom learning.

Hybrid learning environment, or blended learning, gives students the opportunity to explore the
real world issues through traditional, facilitated in an online learning environment. Hybrid
learning provides students the most efficient and effective learning experience by combining
online with face to face learning.

Bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees of Islamic Religious Education was used as a
reference to analyze the effectiveness of online learning to develop a learning pattern
post-COVID-19 pandemic. The research used mixed-method design with a concurrent
triangulation model and stratified random and purposive sampling to take samples through
questionnaires, interviews, and forum group discussions. The results showed that online
learning was the most effective but face-to-face learning is still necessary. Thus, the learning
pattern developed post-COVID-19 pandemic resulted in hybrid learning.
