“Once Upon A Time Sa Kinabuhi ni Adonis”

The core meaning of "Once Upon A Time Sa Kinabuhi ni Adonis" was creative as
the emotions and sentiments of the character which is Adonis is really transparent, you
can feel the emotions within the poem. The way of the author wanted to address the
message of the poem is through a letter and this is really a good way as it shows
traditional way or old way of showing your love. In the poem, it portrays the love of the
character in the poem felt through giving an impact to the times they shared as stated in
those lines creatively. The way it was written is like telling a story about how the
character loved the girl name Emma. The poem composed of different kinds of
metaphor and language used was expressed in a playful tone while the message was
mainly about love and how love mad the character do crazy things. I agree that when
you are in love, you do crazy things and do everything just in the name of love this only
shows how powerful love is.

It is stated in the first line “Gisuwat nako: Dear Emma…” and in the last “I’m
reading Romeo and Juliet” so I can say that this poem is about a man writing a love

letter as well as reading the story of Romeo and Juliet which could somehow represent

their relationship or he’s being the sweetest while tasting the bitterness of love he ought
to. Also the content of the poem shows a man’s perspective of being in love and the title
of the poem could also show a memory of writing a love letter.
 "Balaki Ko Day Samtang Gasakay Ta'g Habalhabal"

The main idea of the poem "Balaki Ko Day Samtang Gasakay Ta'g Habalhabal",
is to make intense and more pleasurable moments towards the action of the character
while riding on the Habal-habal it is also is a typical scene of a motorcycle driver in his
way of living as Habal-habal is one of the mode of transportation. The poem is all about
the means to express your love to someone no matter what happen this only shows
how powerful love is. Riding a habal-habal is somehow a glitter of a memory as I felt the
love and happiness being with someone of those moments where you are riding with
the love your life is one of the greatest feeling ever.

But while reading the poem I got confused if the driver and rider are lover
because the driver might be imagining things like he imagine what it felt like riding
motorcycle with your love one, being intimately close with the rider and doing things like
hugging while riding and tickling rider’s ear as the poem compose of sensual line. I can
say that the poem was all about the driver’s perspective of what it really feels like being
a driver and what can be in the mind of the driver while riding with his lover or even just
a normal rider.
