Guidelines/Instructions for Rehearsal and Convocation

1. Rehearsal will be held for all graduates on Friday, January 06, 2023.
2. Graduating students are required to reach the venue at 8:00 am (sharp) on rehearsal day and at 08:30 on
Convocation Day.
3. Bring your Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and Invitation Card along with envelope,
otherwise you & your guest will not be allowed entry on convocation day.
4. Invitation Cards to all Graduates/Guest will be provided only on rehearsal day.
5. No pick & drop and TA/DA will be the liability of the University.
6. Your presence in the scheduled rehearsal is compulsory for attending the Convocation. No excuse in
this regard shall be admissible.
7. Dress for the rehearsal and Convocation will be the lounge-suite with dress shoes. Hair, clothing or
other fads which are representative of non-Islamic and non-national values, subculture, lifestyles, or that
draw undue attention of others, shall not be permitted. Any violation of the dress code shall run the risk
of not being admitted to the JCC for both days.
8. Casual dresses i.e. jeans, joggers and t-shirts shall not be allowed on both days.
9. Each female candidate must wear scarf. Dopatta, Shawl, etc. shall not be allowed on both the days.
10. Pin-drop silence shall be the core code of conduct on both the days. Any noise, chatting, clapping,
music shall not be allowed during the course of full-dress rehearsal and Convocation. However, at the
time of award of medals only moderate clapping will be allowed.
11. Gowns/Caps will be provided by a private vendor on the rehearsal day at 8:00 am (sharp) on rental basis.
Each graduating student shall deposit Rs. 5000/- with the vendor. The rent of gown/cap shall be Rs.
1000. Each student will be responsible to collect and return his/her gown/cap at the specific counter
arranged. The security amount after deduction of rent shall be refunded on returning the gown/cap to
the vendor.
12. Listen carefully and follow all the instructions during the course of rehearsal and Convocation.
13. You should be seated in the gallery as per seating plan to be given to you on the rehearsal day.
14. Cell phones, electronic diaries, handbags and cameras are NOT allowed on Convocation Day.
15. Eatables shall not be allowed during the course of rehearsal and Convocation.
16. Serious disciplinary action shall be taken against any violation of the code of conduct and ethics.
17. Lunch will be served on both, convocation and on rehearsal, days.
18. Rehearsal will be end at 02:00 PM and Convocation ceremony at 03:30 PM.
