    MY CAREER GOALS

    My career goals are to graduate with my associate degree in Medical Laboratory to be able to
    ascend positions at my current job. I currently work at a Pathology Histology lab in which I have
    been exposed to an abundance of information and knowledge. This motivated me to finish my
    studies in college to be able to take the next step in the laboratory. Initially, I was studying
    nursing, but because of my job position, I was able to expand my known boundaries of the
    medical field. After many years undecided and bouncing back and forth between majors, this is
    the first time I feel sure. This doesn’t mean I am not interested in nursing any longer; this means
    my main focus at the moment is medical laboratory. The opportunity to ascend positions will
    give me financial stability while doing something I enjoy. Maybe later, if I am able, I will retake
    nursing and focus on that. For now, I will enjoy this time of school and my time at my current
    job.
