    MRI PITUITARY GLAND PLAIN AND CONTRAST STUDY

    MRI scan of pituitary gland was performed using T1 and T2 weighted sequence in multiple planes with high resolution
    matrix and small FOV.

    The pituitary gland is normal in size and signal intensity. No micro or macro adenoma is detected. It measures 6.6 mm in
    height. The pituitary stalk is normal in size, signal intensity and is in the midline.

    The posterior pituitary gland is normal in location and displays the normal bright signal on T1 weighted images.

    The sellar floor and the tuberculum sellae are normal. The posterior clinoids are intact.

    The cavernous sinuses and the optic chiasma are normal.

    IMPRESSION: No significant abnormality is detected on this study.
