Information structure
Heading
How the information is organized on a flyer is very important. Heading (main title) is the first point that
must be understood by the audience, therefore the choice of phrase as a heading must be appropriate.
Other information is arranged in sub-headings and body text.
Because flyers function as promotional materials, an invitation to buy or Call For Action must exist. Call
For Action is a phrase in a flyer that invites the audience to do something, in this case following up the
promotion on the flyer with concrete action, which can be in the form of buying goods, registering, or
participating in a movement.
print treatments
What is meant by print treatment is how your flyer is printed, this includes the type of paper used,
thickness, number of colors, print method and print finishing.
Flyer sizes can vary depending on the needs or choice of the manufacturing company. However, there
are several sizes that are commonly used, namely:
A4 (21 x 297mm)

Promotion
To increase attractiveness for a product
As an identy for a product
Brochures have characteristics that distinguish them from other promotional media, such as posters.
The characteristics are as follows.
leaflet is written printed material in the form of folded sheets but not sewn. To make it look more
attractive, leaflets are usually carefully designed with illustrations and use simple, concise and easy-to-
understand language.
The design consists of two front pages, which are designed according to the shape of the folded
paper.

The information submitted includes: logo, product/company, complete address, and program.
The image shown corresponds to the information on the leaflet.
Typical image layouts are directed as field fillers to pursue composition.
Bright colors to make readers more excited to read the leaflet.
Small printed sheets of paper.
folded or not folded,
Writing consists of 200 - 400 words / letters with printed writing usually also interspersed with
pictures.
Size is usually 20 - 30 cm.
In general, the shape of a leaflet is a fold on a sheet of paper, which is folded using the rail technique so
that the paper does not break at the folds.
The number of folds in a leaflet varies, but generally use half-fold or single fold or tri-fold, although this
is up to the creativity of each designer.
Half fold/single fold/fold in two, where the paper is folded in half with each area having the same
area or proportional.
Trifold, where the leaflet is folded into three parts with the same area in each area.
Window fold/gate fold, where the leaflet is folded in three, with the same area on the right and left,
and rather large in the middle, so that when folded, only the middle of the leaflet is visible.
Fold in four, where the leaflet is divided into four parts, each area equal.
The number of folds on the leaflet is adjusted according to the following points.
The purpose of making leaflets, is it only as an introduction to a business brand, or to promote a
product or service, or it can also be a detailed specification of a product or service.
The density of the material, especially the writing, will determine how a leaflet should be designed.
The desired design concept largely determines how many folds are needed.
Before folding, the standard size of leaflet paper is usually A4, which is 21 x 29.7 cm, but if you want a
leaflet with a four-fold technique, it is recommended to use a paper size that is longer than A4, but has
the same width. To get the size in question, you usually have to ask the place where you buy the paper
that will be used as material for making the flyer. The size above cannot be an absolute standard,
because you as a maker are free to be creative as you wish, but A4 size is a size that can be divided
evenly on A3 paper so that it will optimize the printing budget.
