The twenty-first century has already brought great changes to the world.
What other developments do you expect to happen over this century?

It is undoubtedly true that enormous changes have happened in this tumultuous century as a result
of technological and medical advances. As such, it is predicted in the foreseeable future more
changes in such fields will have ever-increasing impacts on the way we live. In this essay, I will
discuss the potential changes with respect to technological and medical improvements in the future.

In my opinion, one of the probable developments in the sphere of technology will apply to the
regulations of the internet. The Internet has by and large benefited the human beings; however, the
integrity of certain content on the web pages has been doubted, and it has significantly affected the
growth of entertainment businesses. It is predicted that tough and comprehensive legislation in
regard to copyright infringements will be brought forward by government authorities, and the free
and fast transmission of information on the net will be regulated accordingly. As such, if a pirated
website does not take its illegal materials down, it will be shut down permanently and be liable for a Comment [m1]: Its better to repeat the auxiliary

Another development, in my view, will possibly be medical breakthroughs. With the rapid
advancements in technologies, medical institutions will be facilitated with state-of-the-art
equipments that would provide them with a more accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment Comment [m2]: Equipment is uncountable
plans for patients, which will alleviate medical staff’s unduly burdens. For example, modern
computers will help analyse the data of patients’ symptoms and make predictions of their recovery
prospects. In this way, doctors and nurses will have more time for breaks and therefore more focus
on the individual patient. On top of that, chronic diseases such as cancer will more likely be cured
with the probable invention of miracle drugs.

In conclusion, humans have been enjoying the benefits that technological and medical
developments bring in this century, and will so in the future.
