Know Your Community

Rhian Ramos is the name that my parents gave me when I was born in this world and
in my community. I, myself, describe myself as a reserved and laid back type of guy. I
tend to mind my own business everytime and I do not waste someone else’s time when
I see that they are not interested in talking or conversing. I believe in taking care of
myself. It's one of my principles that I never abide by. I tend to help a lot of people
without asking for a return because kindness isn’t priced. It's a genuine act of a person
who’s willing to do anything as he/she may. That’s how I describe myself.

The Community I'm currently residing in is what I can describe as unstable. People
have evolved throughout the years and more and more, things will be bad. Like think
about the things that we used to enjoy before but now it’s considered offensive and just
plain bad. In my community there’s a lot of sensitive and self righteous people whose
ego is so high it’s longer than the eiffel tower. Pride is something that people will
preserve; they won’t care about who they hurt as long as their pride is preserved. That’s
how my community is right now and all I can say is it’s unhealthy and toxic.

What I could do as an advocate of justice and equality is that a good conversation is

just the remedy for this. The situation of my community may be reverted to a better
state if each and everyone is willing to put aside their egos and pride and just
understand and respect each other. Humans were born to compete. I get that part but
sometimes we act like animals to get what we want. That’s the harsh reality everyone is
residing in. There’s no such thing as good or bad in this world. Only people who have a
set of different goals in life and perspective. That includes me.
