“SOURCE OF STRENGTH”

I have the strength for everything through him who empowers me.
(Philippians 4:13)
for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
(2 Timothy 1:7)

 Who’s our source of strength?

 Strength - the quality or state of being physically strong
 Maybe sa mga kaibigan natin tayo nakakakuha ng lakas. Sa family, sa ka trabaho, etc.
 But did you know that God has the power to give us strength?
 Madalas kasi bina bypass na natin si Lord eh, lagi nating sinasabi, “kaya ko na ‘to, Lord!” pero di
natin namamalayan, nauubos na tayo.
 May iba’t-ibang uri ng strength. There are: physical strength, emotional strength, and spiritual
strength.
 Ngayong umaga, nais kong mag bigay ng tatlong bagay na lakas na maaaring ibigay sa atin ng
Panginoon.

helped; therefore, my heart exults, and with my song I shall thank Him.”

Bible. After being widowed early in life, she stuck with her mother-in-law
and followed God for all her days, believing he would provide for her.

 But Ruth said, “Don’t force me to leave you; don’t make me go home. Where you go, I go; and
where you live, I’ll live. Your people are my people, your God is my god; where you die, I’ll die,
and that’s where I’ll be buried, so help me GOD—not even death itself is going to come between
us!”

III. STRENGTH IN SELF-CONTROL

 A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls. (Proverbs 25:28)
 What do Proverbs 25 and 28 mean?
 Great men rule their spirits. They resist temptations to react or overreact. They restrain
their emotions and manage them for good. They stay in control of their feelings and
passions to manage their responses to events.
