MAWIS U2 is a flexible, powerful and upgradeable software platform for
the management of the waste collection and city cleaning services,
adaptable to the needs of each Customer.
Due to its adaptability, MAWIS U2 manages hundreds of projects and
thousands of vehicles in many different countries like Spain, Portugal,
Italy, United Kingdom, France, United States, Argentina, Chile, India,
Saudi Arabia, Israel,…

WEB SAAS PLATFORM
1 Secured with user and password, the access to the web platform, hosted in a
Critical Mission Datacentre, is done with your internet browser. Our model does
not involve the purchasing of an expensive license, it is a Software as a Service
(SaaS). We create different user profiles adapted to each management
necessity. Our software site is www.mawisu2.com
MODULAR STRUCTURE, MAPS AND CONNECTIVITY

its tree structure, the forms and directly on the maps. We provide different
cartographies, from TomTom, OpenStreetMaps, Ortophotos, to optionally use

3 SERVICE PLANNING AND ORGANIZATION
MAWIS U2 provides the tools and data to administrate the service resources
(vehicles, bins, human resources, equipment,…), plan and optimize the routes,
program them in a calendar and manage the service efficiently. The platform
communicates bidirectionaly with the mobile equipment in real time,
transmiting the programmed tasks and capturing all the information
regarding the evolution of the service.
4 TRACING, OPTIMIZATION AND PAY AS YOUR THROW
With MAWIS U2 we can trace precisely all the services, detect any deviation,
know the reasons and apply corrections. A the same time, we will have on our
hands the tools to optimize the routes, services, number of containers and
even the driving behaviour, resulting in overall into a huge cost saving and
reduction of emissions. Finally, we will also have the identification of the
waste producers, its waste generation, so, the possibility to implement Pay As
You Throw systems which will result in a big increase in recycling in your city.

ECODRIVING
The Ecodriving Dashboard includes a complete set of numerical and
graphical driving and vehicle indicators (KPI’s). It gives at a glance the
efficiency ratios of vehicles and driving performance by drivers, such as
fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, idle times, driving quality, over-speeding, FUEL CONSUMPTION AND EMISSIONS
etc. 1 Set of indicators to evaluate which is the fuel consumption of
the vehicles and the emissions.
Most of these indicators are obtained from the data coming from the
connection of MOBA electronics to the CAN BUS FMS of the vehicle
chassis.

BIN ADMINISTRATION
MAWIS U2 has your bin inventory permanently updated and geo-
referenced. It keeps track of all movements and services. You can not only
manage your bins but also any other element of your city you have to
maintain.
The Smartphone application MAWIS Pocket helps you to support and
automatize the tasks of bin inventory, maintenance and incidence
registration on the field.
You will have immediate access to all the history of movements, services
done and any other event during all your contract duration.

INVENTORY ORGANIZATION
1 MAWIS U2 has a been designed with a structure adaptable to manage
different types of services and different methods of organization. It is
possible due to its architecture based on different layers and to its wide
parametrization capacity.
We will have permanently the precise status and location of all our
elements by the registration of each task with electronic equipment and
mobile applications, detecting and even correcting automatically the
non-controlled movements of our bins or containers.
HISTORY OF SERVICES, MOVEMENTS AND
2 WASTE GENERATION
Access to the details of the elements and to its historical information:
locations, collections, washings, incidences, maintenance tasks, filling
levels, weights, …
Identification of the waste produces (commercial, door to door, or
access control to the containers), quantity produced and behavior.

ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT OF BINS/CONTAINERS

with an RFID transponder which allows a total service traceability.

MAWIS U2 offers you a set of tools to plan and optimize the services to
be done for each vehicle, team or device. We can organize properly the
services, detect deviations from the plan versus what has been really
done and apply improvements.

ROUTE PLANNING. CALENDAR
The planning of route models can be done through lists or directly
selecting the bins on the map and drawing the path to be followed. You
can also create a new route model from a real finished route.
The calendar offers the possibility to program the routes and vehicles for
different shifts.
COMMUNICATION WITH VEHICLES. LANDFILLS/PLANTS
2 MAWIS U2 can control the truck emptyings in the landfill or transfer
plants, as well as to manage the bidirectional communication, send and
receive route information, with the onboard computers.

ROUTE OPTIMIZATION
3 Automatic calculation of the fastest route taking into account the time
and distance. MAWIS U2 creates routes with instructions prepared for
automatic navigation of the driver on the onboard computers Operand
(FollowMe function).
Plan of dynamic and optimized routes based on the filling level of the
containers/bins which can be provided with filling level sensors, push
buttons, weighing or any other source.

ROUTE MONITORING. REAL TIME

4 Compare the routes conducted against the plan on the map or on the
reports, control deviations from the itinerary or the elements that have
been served. Detect immediately the services that could not be done, the
reasons, the volume and weight collected, the duration and distance
travelled, etc.

the tracking, the elements served, the degree of compliance, etc.

INCIDENCE AND ORDER 1
REGISTRATION AND NEW INCIDENCES. PHOTOS
The recording of incidents is done in real time, as soon as the incidence
is recorded, through several channels as an onboard computer, a keypad
MANAGEMENT or a Smartphone with photos until its reception by telephone, by e-mail
or through an interface to the citizen portal of the City Hall.

Full Management of detected incidences in the service. We will have all the
incidents reported immediately; allowing a rapid reaction for resolution.
Through MAWIS U2, or even in an automated way, we can generate work
orders associated with the resolution of detected incidents and send them
to the mobile devices.
SERVICE ROUTES AND JOB ORDERS
