Okay, we are going to talk about the Voice of

Verbs.

So, what is Voice of Verbs?

The voice of the verb refers to the relationship

between the subjects of the sentence and the
verb.
2 Voices of the Verb

1. Active Voice
2. Passive Voice

The active voice is when the subject is doing

the action on the receiver. It follows a clear
subject + verb + object construct
that's easy to read.

Example:

Sam ate the nuggets.

Subject verb Object
(doer) (receiver)

Tina baked the cake.

Subject verb Object
(doer) (receiver)

With passive voice, the subject is when the

action is happening to the subject. The formula
is Subject(receiver)+verb (be-verb+past
participle)+ by + object (doer)

Example:

The nuggets were eaten by Sam.

Subject be-verb=past participle Object
(receiver) of the main verb (doer)

The bake was baked by Tina.

Subject be-verb=past participle Object
(receiver) of the main verb (doer)

Remember, A verb changes its form when you

change the voice from active to passive.

In present tense..
( am, is, are+ past participle)

In past tense..
(was, were+ past participle)

In future tense..
1. Active Voice
