Opinion-marking
signals are words
or phrases used
to show feelings,
emotions and
attitude towards
something. They
are helpful clues
in the forms of
words and
phrases that
assist us in
identifying
opinion
statement. They
are found mostly
at the beginning
of the
sentences. They
introduce one’s
opinion.

Fact is a true statement, while an opinion is a
personal belief. Facts can be proven, but opinions
cannot. This is why most facts are supported by
proof, whereas most opinions are supported by
specific reasons.

Opinion-marking signals are words or phrases


used to show feelings, emotions and attitude
towards something. They are helpful clues in the
form of words and phrases that assist us in
identifying opinion statement.

Example
In my opinion, pizza is great than fries.
I think dogs are cool than cats.
I feel like Adidas shoes are more comfortable to
wear than other shoes.
