Application

A. Test your understanding by answering these following questions.

1. Does educational policy-making helps and improve the educational

system? Why or why not?
Periodic evaluations are conducted in policymaking to acquire data. These statistics will
serve as the foundation for making sound and informed decisions throughout the educational
system. If we continue to discover solutions to the system's existing challenges, we may
become at par with international standards and produce globally competitive learners.

2. In your own understanding, what is the importance of the implementation

in the educational policy process?
The implementation in the educational policy process is significant because they describe
how things are done and subsequently provides a focus for improving them because how
things are done impacts the success of the outcomes. You can design your path to win if you
focus on the proper procedures in the right way.

3. In your own opinion, what makes a good school policy?

A good policy is respectful, clear, and concise. A good school policy promotes and
improves appropriate behavior, manages activities, achieves consistency and efficiency, and
reduces organizational risk, especially to the learners.

2. My Learning
Policies are formed, to put rules and regulations in place and enforce them. These regulations
ensure that educators, staff, and students are aware of expectations and may act appropriately. This saves
time, avoids misunderstandings, and unifies the school.

education system.
Also, I preferably think that the most influential policymakers
are those who have been on the ground level or at least
someone who can understand the needs of the learners at a
school level. As a barrio-teacher, it was hard for me to
understand at first why a typical attitude among my learners is
prevalent. For example, they only like going to school in the
first three meetings, and in the following week, they no longer
have the motivation to continue. I’ve realized that some of my
learners cannot come to school because they do not have
enough food to sustain their energy for the whole class
duration.

With this finding in line with the nutritional data from the
barangay, It is found that two out of ten students are
malnourished. From this data, a program like feeding and
partnership with a private stakeholder may help.
