Purpose
The Government ID Verification is a validation of a government-issued identification document or number, that helps confirm a
candidate’s name, date of birth and/or current address. For the standard Government ID product, this service involves the
utilization of an Identity Document Reference Library which contains information on many types of ID cards. The success of this
technology largely relies on compliances with specific requirements and guidelines which will be outlined within this document.
Document Guidelines
Quality and format requirements must be adhered to. Failure to comply with these guidelines can result in rejected checks and
extended lead-times.
Listed below are the specific guidelines to be adhered to, what is to be avoided and image examples.

Image Examples

Good Lighting is Essential: If the image is too dark or too bright, the document might not be processed successfully.
Angles and Positioning: The tilt angle of the document should not exceed 10 degrees in any direction (horizontal or vertical.)
Margins: Make sure there is space around the document and that it does not exceed the image area. It is recommended that it
takes up 70-80% of the space.
Contrast: A clear contrast between the document and the background is essential.
Resolution and Quality: Documents must be clearly legible and in color to process successfully.
