1 Define Faraday’s law and Explain Faraday’s laws in Electromagnetic induction. [L2][CO1]
[12M]
Faraday’s law stating that when the magnetic flux linking a circuit changes, an
electromotive force is induced in the circuit proportional to the rate of change of
the flux linkage

b. Derive the expression for Moving Loop in Static B field L3][CO2] [6M]
5.a. Deduce the Expression for Moving loop in Time varying Fields[L3][CO2] [6M]

b. Define Displacement Current with expression [L2][CO2] [6M]

Displacement current is a quantity appearing in Maxwell’s equations. Displacement current

definition is defined in terms of the rate of change of the electric displacement field (D). It can be
explained by the phenomenon observed in a capacitor.
When a capacitor starts charging, there is no conduction of charge between the plates.
However, because of the change in charge accumulation with time above the plates, the electric field
changes causing the displacement current .
The Rate of change of electric flux density is called as Displacement current`
Displacement current density is the quantity ∂D/∂t defined as the rate of change
of D, the electric displacement field.

6.a. Determine the Expressions for inconsistency of Ampere’s law . [L3][CO3] [8M]
b Why ampere’s Law is In-consistent. [L4][CO2] [3M]
According to Ampere circuital law the line integral of magnetic field B around any closed path is equal to
times total current l enclosed by that closed path. Therefore, Ampere law is ambiguous as it does not provide
continuity to current path.
Ampere's law is valid only when there is a steady flow of current or electrostatic flux through a closed surface
remains conserved, but at time of charging or discharging the flux does not remain conserved or there is no steady
state.
So ampere law fails there, when displacement current is also considered then the flux remains conserved or we get
steady state condition.
