Good morning, everyone especially to our adviser maam Katrina Merce Cordez, maam

to my fellow presenters my classmates a pleasant morning to all of us. Before we start

our discussion lets have first our prayer.
Today we are going to discuss Elements of Auditory Art, so this discussion is the
continuation of the reporting of group 4 they have discuss about the elements of
auditory art in terms of rhythm, dynamics and melody.
Before we continue we have our objectives for today …..
Let’s proceed with the discussion, first what is auditory art, so when we say auditory it is
relating to the sense of hearing. So basically, Auditory art is the art of arranging
sounds in time so as to produce a continuous, coherent, and emotive composition,
as through melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre. It is either a vocal or instrumental
sounds possessing a degree of melody, harmony, and rhythm; and the medium of all
auditory art forms is sound. It is also known as Timed Arts. Unlike the existence of
paintings and sculptures, the existence of musical sounds is intermittent and in this
group there are no real objects or physical objects that can be viewed and or
touched.
Next is the categories of auditory art, 1 st is music, so music is either vocal or
instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form,
harmony, and expression of emotion. Usually a composer composed songs in order to
convey its emotions. Music is an artful arrangement of sounds across time. Music is part
of virtually every culture on earth, but it varies widely among cultures in style and
structure. Music is called temporal because it moves through time: it is not static, it only
exists in the form of vibrating air over a span of time. In order to appreciate music, we
must remember what sounds happened, and anticipate what sounds might come next.
Function of music, Music is an important ingredient in our daily lives. Its value depends
on our purposes, whether for celebrations, rituals, rites, and/or special occasions. The
following, are the functions of music. 1 st is it attempts to imitate nature sounds so there
is several music that was created on a foundation based in the natural environment.
Meron tayong mga music kung saan have similarities in nature species examples is
whales and many bird species have surprising similarities to the structures of our
human music.
Next is music help release ones emotion or feelings, there are many artist that convey
their emotion in a way of composing a music, best example dito is si taylor swift, so
basically lahat ng exes ni taylor swift ay ginawan niya ng kanta na broken siya pero
pinagkakitaan niya pa diba mindset char.
Next is music uses as signals in war, so before sa time ni Alexander the great up until
now ginagaamit na ang music as a signal to call, convey and control orders. So usually
ang ginagamit nila dito is drums, trumpets and pipes.
Next is music uses in worship and rituals, very understandable siya. It depend on the
tradition and culture, so example nito is yung mga ninuno natin they uses music in
worship and rituals halimbawa is yung kasal, death and healing from illnesses.
Lastly music as a form of entertainment, so it has been widely recognized na without
music it would be boring. Thus music really is a form of entertainment.
