MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
Between

Trainors and coaches of _______ Department (First Party)

and

Parents and student-trainees (Second Party)

This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) sets for the terms and understanding between the
assigned coaches and trainors (First Party), and the selected student-trainees and their parents (Second
Partty) of corresponding competitions that the school intends to participate in.

Background 

The parties formerly described shall endeavor to work together to attain the aim of the school to
improve students’ potential to win contests that the school participates in. This shall strengthen
stakeholder-administration partnership as they are involved in the structuring of training setups to which
the students shall engage in prior to the competitions. Furthermore, trainees shall be given considerations
to achieve academic goals and aspirations.

Purpose 

The purpose of this MOU is to clearly identify the roles and responsibilities of each party with
regards to the training setups and provisions to support and enhance outcomes of academic and non-
academic competitions.

The above goals will be accomplished by undertaking the following activities:

The First Party shall

a) administer corresponding student selection activities to assign most suitable trainees relative to the
competition at schedule;

b) prepare schedule of trainings of students while complying to the “NO DISRUPTION OF CLASSES
POLICY” given;

c) prepare and provides training materials needed in the event of training;


d) utilize the time fully and productively in accordance with the schedule of trainings and review
sessions;

e) ensure communication to subject teachers and advisers of the second party with regards to their
academic standing not be negatively affected during and until the competition has taken place; and

e) assign substitute if absence cannot be avoided.

Meanwhile, the Second Party shall

a) adhere and attend to the schedule of trainings and review sessions identified by the First Party; and

b) provide for additional training time materials at home, as needed.

Grades
The First Party ensures the maintenance of the grades of the Second Party (learners) which might
be affected along the duration of the training. Therefore, it is agreed upon that the learners’ grade incurred
during the grading period of the conduct of the training shall either be retained or higher.

Terms

The training and coaching for _____(Competition)________________ shall be done during


_______(day)_______ at ______(place)_________ from __(starting date)__________ to ____(ending
date)________ of the school year ________________.

Reporting

The First Party and Second Party must meet every last Friday of the month within the training
period to evaluate the effectiveness of this MOU. 

Funding

This Memorandum of Understanding is NOT a commitment of funds for both Parties.

Modification and Termination


This MOU is at-will and may be modified and terminated by mutual consent between the two
Parties.

Effectivity and Duration


The terms within this memorandum shall be effective from (date)_____ to (date) _____.
Parties A and B indicate agreement with this MOU by their signatures.
