INTER-CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS FRIENDSHIP GAME 2023

MC1: With the COVID-19 pandemic having a global impact since 2021, we have faced
many limitations in what is called a ‘new normal.’ Sadly, one of the areas that was badly
affected was the field of sports with many important events being canceled or postponed.
Thankfully and finally, we are gathered here, by the grace of the Lord, to celebrate one of
the most awaited event this school year.

MC2: Besides providing great entertainment, sports instill many important values like
perseverance, hard work, discipline, and fair play, which are important for our Christian
journey. It also provides much-needed exercise for our bodies, often advocated as vitally
important to overcome most of today’s health issues.

MC1: In other words, participating in physical education provides invaluable skills, holistic
and active lifestyles.
And for that, let me read to you the theme verse for today’s event which is found in:
Hebrews chapter 12, verse 1 “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”

BOTH: Ladies and gentlemen, good morning and welcome to INTER-CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS
FRIENDSHIP GAME 2023!

MC2: To formally start our program, let us all rise to acknowledge our Almighty Father by
an opening prayer to be led by Mr. Rowel Lacaste, to be followed by the singing of the
National Anthem to be conducted by Ms. Shayene Budhi, Bible Pledge by Ms. Kelly Jeanne
Cabbab, Pledge Allegiance to the Christian Flag, Mr. Gerald Toledo, Panatang Makabayan,
Ms. Quinie Fajardo, Panunumpa ng Katapatan sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, Mr. Aaron
Ancheta, and Isabela Hymn by Ms. Victoria Maxine Lambenicio.

MC1: Please be seated. Now to keep us inspired and motivated this morning, let us
welcome the very enthusiastic directress of MSMS, Mrs. Lilibeth R. Garcia to deliver her
opening and welcoming remarks. A round of applause, please.

MC2: Thank you, Ma’am for that warm welcome and a very inspiring message. Once again,
we are pleased to welcome you all to our Inter-Christian School Friendship Games 2023.
But before we start our friendly sport games, let us listen first to the word of God to be
shared by Pastor Erold Ramos, the President of Isabela Christian Schools Association. A
round of applause, please.

MC1: Thank Pastor Ramos for sharing the Word of God. May we be reminded that the
ability to play sport is an aspect of God's creation that can be enjoyed for His glory.

MC2: Without further ado, may we ask permission to start with a roll-call for every
participating school today. Honored guests, teachers, coaches, students, friends, are you
ready?

MC1: It seems like I can’t hear you? Once again, are you ready? Alright. As we call your
school, kindly stand and give your best clap. Okay, let’s start with

MC1: Once again a round of applause please. And now, let us witness a special number by
Ms. Zia Loraine T. Pascual of MSMS. Let us give her a round of applause.

MC2: Thank you Ms. Pascual for that beautiful special number. And now, to lead the oath
of Athletes, may we call Mr. Jazhiel Madalura, a 2020 CAVRAA Table Tennis Player of
MBBLCI.
May I request all the players to stand for the oath of Athletes.

MC1: At this juncture, let us gear up into the next very important part of this event. May
now ask everyone to please stand. (Pause 3 seconds)
The torch is a common trademark of both enlightenment and hope. The flame is a symbol
of the Olympic message of peace, friendship, tolerance and hope. This ceremony symbolizes
many things in the spirit of the games. It represents a lot of things including purity, a strive
for perfection, and life.

MC2: In God's understanding, the light of a torch radiates outward and dissipates
darkness. This "torch of spiritual understanding" helps us gain dominion through divine
power, over sin, sickness, and discouragement. It is a light at the end of the tunnel of a
material sense of existence.

MC1: Yes, indeed. May I request everyone to please stand to witness the lighting of torch to
be led by Mr. Danhill Damatan, Jr and Mr. Brendon James Mendoza, 2020 CAVRAA Table
Tennis Players of MBBLCI.

MC2: There you have it folks. The torch has been lighted. You know what Partner; this is
such an amazing start for INTER-CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS FRIENDSHIP GAME 2023. This
will surely get the students a big jumpstart for the sports events today.

MC1: And now, may we call Pastor Erold Ramos, the President of Isabela Christian
Schools Association (ICSA) to formally open the INTER-CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS FRIENDSHIP
GAME 2023. A round of applause, please.
