It is hereby notified that electronic version of the Supreme Court Reports

(e-SCR) has been launched recently by Hon’ble the Chief Justice of India. It is
an initiative to provide the digital version of the judgments of the Hon’ble
Supreme Court of India as they are reported in ‘Supreme Court Reports’, the
official law report.

The e-SCR project endeavors to take a step forward towards fulfilling the
objective of the digitization of Indian Judiciary for the benefit of litigants,
Judges, members of the Bar, law colleges and universities, governmental
institutions, law clerks and researchers, judicial academies, civic society and
the public at large. e-SCR facilitates access to the judgments of the Hon’ble
Supreme Court, free of subscription or any other expense for the user.

The database of e-SCR contains at present about 34,000 reported

judgments of the Hon’ble Supreme Court. The search facility in e-SCR provides
for free text search, search, within search, case type and case year search,
judge search, year and volume search and bench strength search options. The
inbuilt elastic search facilitates quick and user-friendly search results.

The e-SCR can be accessed at https://judgments.ecourts.gov.in

It is requested to effectively avail the facility of e-SCR.
