WRITING

Hey Jake!
The anniversary party for my parents was a huge success. It
was a lot of work, but Igot everyone to help (get / everyone /
help). I had my sister design (have / my sister / design) the
invitations and decorations. She’s a graphic designer. I got my
younger brother to cook (get / my younger brother / cook) the
food. He’s a good cook. I had my cousin’s band play (have / my
cousin’s band / play) the music. My dad used to sing, so we all
got him to come (get / him ) on stage and sing a song. That was
really great! I got my older brother to give (get / my older
brother / give) a speech. He’s a funny guy, and everyone
laughed at his jokes. It seems like I had everyone else do (have /
everyone else / do) a lot, doesn’t it? Well, I did organize
everything. And at the end of the night, I had everyone go (have
/ everyone / go) home, and I did all the cleanup!
The party was a lot of work, but my parents were really happy,
so it was worth it.
