CAPACITY MANAGEMENT refers to the act of ensuring a business maximizes its potential activities
and production output—at all times, under all conditions. The capacity of a business measures how
much companies can achieve, produce, or sell within a given time period.
SUPPLY MANAGEMENT refers to the act of identifying, acquiring, and managing resources and
suppliers that are essential to the operations of an organization. Also known as procurement,
supply management includes the purchase of physical goods, information, services, and any other
necessary resources that enable a company to continue operating and growing. The main goals of
supply management are cost control, the efficient allocation of resources, risk management, and
the effective gathering of information for business decisions.
SERVICE LEVEL MANAGEMENT is the process that is responsible for negotiating Service Level
Agreements and ensuring that they are met. The main purpose of service level management is to
make sure that every IT service presently being provided and planned for the future is delivered as
per the previously agreed upon service level targets.
INFORMATION SECURITY MANAGEMENT describes the set of policies and procedural controls that
IT and business organizations implement to secure their informational assets against threats and
vulnerabilities. The goal of an ISMS is to minimize risk and ensure business continuity by proactively
limiting the impact of a security breach.
SERVICE CATALOGUE MANAGEMENT this process is responsible for providing information regarding
all agreed services to all authorized persons. This process also takes care of creation and
maintenance of service catalogue with correct and updated information.
