11 – UPS – Uninterruptible Power Systems

Notes:
We should label all the bus-bars, switch-gears, circuit breakers, MCC panels etc properly (like we label
equipment/instruments inside our P&ID/process drawings); that makes things very easy for spare-part management,
maintenance, installation etc (see AutoCAD file: ‘Electrical-Distribution-Example’ for some examples/ideas with respect to
labeling as well as for above mentioned 4 issues).

We should have power quality diagnostic equipment installed with the option to store the data historically; then we will be
able to trouble shoot upon the power distribution much better, in case we have a power outage somewhere in our site.

We should have all our Single-Line-Diagrams (SLDs) up-to-date to ease upon maintenance and future expansion
projects.
