Dear Student,

Sub: Ninth Convocation Function of the Institute

It is my pleasure to inform you that VNIT is holding its Ninth Convocation on Monday, the 12
th
September,
2011 at 1.00 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Institute.
I take this opportunity to invite you to attend the convocation function and receive your degree in person. For
confirmation of participation, please fill-up the registration form (available on website www.vnit.ac.in ) and post
it to Dr R M Patrikar, Dean (Academic), VNIT, South Ambazari Road, Nagpur 440010 OR mail to
convocation@vnit.ac.in. Please note that students who confirm the participation will only be allowed to receive
degree in the convocation function. Student will have to remain present in person to receive the degree in a dress
code mentioned below and the convocation robe. Convocation robe will be issued on Sunday 11
th
September,
2011 up to 5 PM.
All the students are being given invitation on their mail-id as recorded, however students are requested to kindly
forward this invitation to classmates / friends receiving degree in the ensuing convocation to enable them to join
in function. Students are advised to check their name title in Hindi script from list of degree recipients who will
be awarded degree and awards in the ensuing ninth convocation. List of degree recipients is displayed in
convocation invitation displayed on Institute website. Name titles in English are as recorded and mentioned in
grade card issued to student during period of study. Kindly note that discrepancies related to name titles in Hindi
script received till 26
th
August, 2011 shall only be considered (pl mail your discrepancies if any to
asst_registrar@vnit.ac.in ), else it will be presumed that displayed name titles are agreeable to the student
concerned. Please note that due to paucity of space, institute is constrained to accommodate parents in the
convocation function.
