ANTHROPOMETRICS
This is exercise increases the student knowledge on anthropometrics through personalized measurements.
Anthropometry is the measurement of the size and proportions of the human body. The student shall understand
unique human body measurements before knowing the established architectural data standards such as in:
1. Architectural Graphic Standards by Ramsey & Sleeper
2. Architect’s Data by Ernst and Peter Neufert
3. Timesaver Standards for Architectural Design Data by John Hancock Callender
Drawing Requirements:
Anthropometric drawings of
1. Your body
2. Child (preferably 3 - 9 years old, Pre-school and Grade-schooler)
3. Young Adult (18 - 25 years)
4. Elderly (more than 60 years old)
Please indicate
Name, Age, and Body Type (ectomorph, endomorph, mesomorph)
a. Stature or height
b. Maximum Body Breadth
c. Knee height
d. Elbow Height
e. Vertical Reach
f. Side Arm Reach
g. Eye Height Standing
h. Maximum Body Depth
i. Thumb Tip Reach
j. Shoulder
k. Sitting Height

Boards:
-A3 Paper Size, Millimeters, use appropriate scale, and Inked
-Write your Name, Subject, Schedule, and Instructor at the upper left corner of the A3 Paper.
