Title: PEDIATRIC NEUROLOGY

Reflection:

As we transition to another module, I am quite anxious because we will be tackling neurology. Neuro
has always been extra challenging for me, how much more now that we will be talking about pediatric
neurology. Dr. Latorre has made this module interesting by explaining the concepts simply and giving
sample cases for some important diseases which she has encountered in her practice. She is very
intellectual and generous with her knowledge. She makes sure that she discusses the diseases
thoroughly and provides the pathognomonic symptoms of disorders which are important for us to know
and distinguish. She also gives mnemonics to help us easily understand and retain the important
concepts. It is daunting to dream to be a pediatric neurologist at this point of my medical career but Dr.
Latorre is very inspiring and she gives m

During this time, we had a lot of lectures, quizzes, and clinics duties and it has been exhausting. I
always remind myself that I need to make the most of the time we have today because as our seniors
advise us, now is the best time to read our books and learn as much as we can. While my spirit is
strong, my human body has its limits and I allow myself to rest as needed.

memorable takeaways from Dr. Latorre’s
lecture. She made us translate this writing of a
dyslexic patient. It reveals a lot about having
such condition and it lit a fire in my heart to be of
help to those who have neurologic conditions
and diseases in the future.
