Essay about the topic learned during this week.

two classes. 2 parts (part 1 and 2) participate in class.

Write a report about what you and your partners shared.

In this week's classes various news of a national and international nature were
discussed. We were asked to read some aloud and discuss them with the teacher
and our classmates.
Some news headlines discussed were: UK Renewable Energy Company Cutting
Down Forests in Canada. The company involved is called DRAX itself, which is the
largest power station in the United Kingdom, it generates electricity by burning
millions of tons of imported wood pellets. Said pellets are a fuel formed by cylinders
made by understanding wood residues such as shavings, sawdust and chips, which
are often caused by pruning remains. It was discovered that most of the wood used
for the generation of pellets and later the fuel comes from primary forests in Canada.
Cutting down trees and burning the wood to produce energy is not so renewable and
is somewhat controversial, since it was discovered that they lie and do not generate
their fuels only with chips but with whole trunks from the Canadian forest region in
the province of British Columbia.

Another news that was discussed in class was the one published by El Norte that
talks about the fact that crime kills around 2 children per day in our country, Mexico.
Accumulating a total of 627 children killed in the last 9 months.

In other news, the purchase of Twitter by Elon Musk was discussed and how the
businessman acquired the company changed the dynamics in which the social
network worked and its terms and conditions as well as policies of use.
This triggered that more than 70 thousand users moved to another social network
called MASTODON, this also after the new policy that mentions that 8 dollars per
month will be charged to maintain the verification of an account if desired. It is a
decentralized platform and many users claim that it is very similar to twitter and even
has its own Retweets feature called retoots.

Another relevant news is about the presence of Mexican cartels in Ecuador.

Unleashing violence not only in Mexico, these cartels are mostly part of the CJNG
and the one from Sinaloa. This is an unfortunate fact, because the stain and wave of
violence that originally started in Mexico is now spreading to other countries. The
Ecuadorian country is suffering a great wave of violence linked to drug trafficking and
Mexican cartels.
Finally, another news that was a trend this week is the one that talks about a video
where a user of the American airlines airline unleashes her fury against the counter
staff at the international airport of Mexico City. This presumably because she missed
her flight, the video caused a stir on social networks and she was later released
despite having physically assaulted the staff and caused material damage.

Conclusion:
The news that happened these days was relevant and trending. I find it very cool to
share opinions with my classmates and discuss the various news that are trending
these days. Above all due to the fact that if I do not know any information, one of my
colleagues knows it and the information is shared, including the sources. It is a great
way to share knowledge. I like the idea that in class we are given the time to share
information and catch up.
In other subjects we do not have the opportunity to chat and talk about what is
trending, and I think it is important that we are up to date, it is also very helpful that
our teacher provides us with useful information and gives us feedback on our
comments and ideas when we share news, complementing the information we
provide.
