Tiquiwan - Baybayin - Alupay Intersection
The volume of different vehicles at peak and dead hours of the road Tiquiwan to
Baybayin route were presented at the table above. As seen in this, for the vehicles from
Tiquiwan going to Baybayin, the peak hour from 7:40 am to 8:40 am has most of the vehicles
that utilized it found to be motorcycles followed by private vehicles. Contrary to this, there
was no van, bus, or even minibus that used the road during that hour. A total of 166 different
types of vehicles were recorded to have passed through this road. During the dead hour
between 5:00 am to 6:00 am, the number of private vehicles has enormously declined from
38 to 13. The motorcycle remained on its spot as the highest but with a count of 48, this was
succeeded by the tricycle having a record of 42. Still, there was no van, bus, or even minibus,
or government vehicle observed. The accumulated tally was 123 vehicles for this time. For
the night session of traffic counting, the peak hour was from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Private
vehicles were noticed to have the highest value which is 88 throughout this hour. Next to this
was the motorcycle with a record of 80. Tallying the vehicles for this hour, a number of 296
was documented. For the last hour of traffic counting for this route, the dead hour for night
time started from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The motorcycle was deemed to have the largest
volume of vehicles that crossed this direction. Summing up the number of vehicles that came
from Tiquiwan going to Baybayin for this specific day, a number of 688 were noted. With
this data, the motorcycle was discovered to have a towering amount of 229. The bus and
minibus have continuously become unseen during the observation.

With regard to the table 4 that highlighted the Baybayin-Tiquiwan route, no bus and
minibus was observed the entire day. In the peak hour during the day, the motorcycle was
seen to have the amount of 45, compared to this no record of bicycle and bus or minibus was
taken. The dead hour in day course has listed the motorcycle as the greatest number of
vehicle passing by this route with a count of 57. The total volume of vehicle for this still
reached above a hundred and is 129. The peak hour for the night observation resulted to 64
number of motorcycle and the least next to bus was government vehicles. The volume of the
vehicles throughout this day was 219 and this became the busiest hour among all the
observed hours. Lastly, the dead hour during the night time was found to have the private
vehicles as at its peak. Only 57 vehicles was recorded in this duration. The estimated vehicles

Table 5 shows the volume of the vehicles at peak and dead hours for Alupay to
Baybayin route. No buses and trucks were observed to used this route for the whole day, even
vans and government vehicles were out of sight, since this road covers the barangays that
were near or almost at the base of the mountain. The peak hours of this route has both
resulted to motorcycle as being the most vehicle to utilize this. The peak hour for day has the
outcome of 53 while the peak hour for night rose insignificantly with 56 counted vehicles.
The dead hours has still the motorcycle at the top of the records, with 18 during the day and
14 at night. The volume of the vehicles at the dead hours decreased half at night, from the
record of 44 to 22. With the data presented, it can be noticed that even at the peak hours, the
volume of the vehicles does not even reach 60, thus, the accumulated volume was found to be
175.

The peak and dead hours of the road for Baybayin to Alupay route were shown in the
table 6. Compared to the previous route, the number of vehicles for the morning peak hour
exceeded 60 and even reached 73 with still the motorcycle having the largest number of 32.
Two vans were also seen using this route during the morning peak hour only. Four types of
vehicles mainly the bus, 2-axle truck, 3 or more axle truck, and government vehicles have not
used this route during the observation hours. The peak hour at night recorded 2 government
vehicle to passed through this route but no van for hire was seen. Motorcycle was discovered
to have a count of 26. With this, a value of 52 vehicles for this peak hour was observed. The
dead hour at day time was found to have six types of vehicles that were not using the route at
the time of observation including the jeepneys, vans for hire, buses, 2-axle trucks or good’s
vehicles, 3 or more axle trucks, and government vehicles. At this hour, the tricycle has the
most number to drive unto this route with 15 surpassing the number of motorcycle with only
6. A total of 26 vehicles have passed by this route. The dead hour at night has five types of
vehicles that did not enter the route and these are the vans for hire, minibuses or buses, 3 or
more axle truck, bicycle, and government vehicles. Motorcycle was back at its position as the
highest having a count of 6. Only a total of 13 vehicles were recorded during this hour. For
the whole day, a quantity of 164 vehicles was discovered to utilized the route.
