Observation : Carefully study the phenomenon by noting the incident in detail.

Formulate problems (Question) : Asking the question of what, why, how the object under study and

the factors related to it.

Formulating Hypotheses : Making provisional assumptions or answers based on scientific

thought that is certain to be true.

Doing Experiments : Testing hypotheses that have been created by a series of

experiments or trials

Collecting and analyzing data : Analyzing the data obtained both statistically and non-statistically

and whether it supports the hypothesis or not.

Conclusion : Whether the hypothesis can be accepted or rejected.

Sonar (Sound Navigation and Ranging) is a method using ultrasonic waves to estimate the size,
shape, and depth of an object. The physics principle used in sonar is the ultrasonic sound emitted
which will be reflected back by objects. Sonar is used in marine transportation technology (ships and
submarines)

X rays are a form of electromagnetic wave radiation. Use of X-rays to detect fractures in the health
sector.

Safety Rules in Science:

1. Read the experimental instructions carefully

2. Do not do activities that are not allowed by the teacher

3. Do not use laboratory equipment before being allowed by the teacher

4. Do not spill any material in the laboratory

5. Do not eat and drink in the laboratory

6. Before and after doing the experiment, wash your hands thoroughly

7. Cleaning the tools used after the experiment

8. Make sure the combustion gas installation and electric socket have been turned off
