1. Apologies
There were no apologies received.

2. Emerging Issues

 Negative effects on identity and competitiveness.

 Mistaken menu.

 Problems with inventory and prices.

3. Challenges and Problems

The coffee shops need to differentiate their businesses from the countless others that
can be found on almost every street corner. The first step is to figure out who your
ideal client is. Do you hope to attract predominantly "hipsters," "stroller brigades," or
office workers searching for a location to meet up with friends with young children in
tow? If we know who we're catering to, we may avoid a "identity crisis" by tailoring
our business's name, location, and offerings to them.
Coffee shop like The Local Coffeehouse, feel pressure to stock only the items that
appeal to their own tastes. This plan is terrible since it might easily turn off clients.
Thus, the mistaken menu issues always arisen especially during peak hours.

The Local Coffeehouse’s manager will tell from time to time that our coffeehouse
running out of inventory, whether it be coffee beans or anything else, is a certain way
to disappoint consumers and slow sales. Similarly, incorrect pricing has the reverse
effect of improving profits.

4. Improvement and Solutions

In order to improve the negative effects on identity and competitiveness issues,
alternatively, a distinctive value proposition—i.e., doing something competitors just
don't or doing something particularly well can help The Local Coffeehouse readily
guard against a dull competitive edge. Some examples of this include providing
freshly roasted coffee beans and/or homemade baked goods, stocking a selection of
board games for patrons to enjoy as they sip and snack, and even establishing a
"express line" for harried commuters.

Prioritize the preferences of our ideal diners as we can craft and perfect our menu
items to solve the mistaken menu issue. If we want to attract coffee lovers, we should
provide them with a wide selection of specialty drinks and coffees produced from
different beans. Think about offering signature "grab and go" sandwiches if our coffee
shop is frequented by office workers during lunchtime. Include kid-friendly food and
drink options if many of our customers bring their kids to our coffee shop. It's a good
idea for The Local Coffeehouse to regularly poll their customers for input on the
menu so that they can continue along the appropriate "road." The Local Coffeehouse
can use social media, comment cards, in-person conversations, and focus groups to
get customer input. Having a good point-of-sale system is also helpful. Examine our
point-of-sale data to see what's selling and what isn't, and make changes based on
what The Local Coffeehouse customers’ feedback.

In order to solve the issues that arise from the problems with inventory and prices,
some suggestions are made. The point-of-sale system (POS) is the remedy once again.
A decent point-of-sale system will include an inventory control module that monitors
stock levels and triggers notifications and/or automatic re-orders as needed. A system
like this would also help The Local Coffeehouse management to decide whether or
not their prices or promotions are competitive by comparing the cost of beans and
other inventory to their revenue.

5. Any Further Concerns

The coffeehouse manager arisen the slow service which is a common management
problem for coffee shop, especially in peak hours with order from a lot of different
ways to make coffee. Again, the solution is a fast and efficient point-of-sale (POS)
system that is made for use in foodservice environments and, ideally, can be set up to
work specifically for coffee shops. The best POS systems also make management
easier by keeping track of customer information, using traffic patterns to predict
staffing needs, adjusting prices, generating reports with actionable information,
making it easy to reconcile tips, and integrating with other solutions, like accounting
software.

6. Date of Next Meeting

room.
