With the series of lockdowns that cause the prolonged closure of the many schools and

universities. The Philippines' educational institutions are compelled to support learning through online
platforms as the world adjusts to the pandemic's disruption in order to support maintaining the course of
education.

Devices like smartphones and laptops which are considered luxuries became an essential
requirement for students for their online classes. This is because educational institutions implement
online learning as a mode of instruction using a variety of learning systems. With the transition to online
and distance learning modalities, the availability and accessibility of information became effective and
easy for students and this brings many advantages and learning opportunities. On the other hand,
although there are some advantages, there are still also students who are having struggles adjusting to
online learning, not only students, with the unexpected shifting, teachers, and instructors also find it
difficult to adjust to online learning modality because of the complex learning space and platforms that
are used for online classes.

As the number of COVID positive cases dropping, educational institutions and with the help of the
government, schools and universities in different places in the country are reopening with some
restrictions and guidelines to safely return to face-to-face classes. While there is some students who are
not ready for the face-to-face classes, Hybrid learning is implemented and customary to balance the
situation of the student considering their resources and living condition.
